Good morning all,
Temperature will be 86* with a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. I think it is going to rain from now through Tuesday. We have had enough rain here now that the grass has finally turned green again. It was actually brown for a while in July. The pain doctor gave me a prescription for pain to take my up to my surgery. She says that the surgeon will be responsible for pain after the surgeries. He uses hydrocodone and I am concerned about being on that drug for 10 weeks. I will talk to the surgeon on Sept 5th about this. I do not have another appointment with the pain doctor and will make one when I am released from the surgeon. Today is a dentist appointment this morning. I will get my new plate. So hopefully I won't get as much stuff under it any more.
My arthritis actually started in my hands, knees and feet, probably around 20 years ago. It's only been in my back for around 6-8 years. I haven't worn rings on my right hand for years. And the left hand can no longer spread an octave on the piano. So I have trouble playing the piano also.
Have a good one.

hi, finally getting here.this am was wi. lost 0.4 my scale showed more. it is what it is. still have to lose a pound to get rid of last week's gain.
becki I was on hydrocodon and oxyocodon for my knee surgeries. they got me of of it as soon as they could so I would not get addictiated.they will probably do the same for you.
dr.lawrence wont use it if he doesn't have to. he will have his patients take 1-2 aspirins.
my surgeries were in 09 and10 so alot of things may have changed .every patient and doctor is different..on how things are done.
I did not go to panera today after ww.came home for breakfast. this morning was the follow up for last week's er thing. my doctor explained alot about platelets and palpitations.
then culver's for lunch.we split a turtle sundae.haven't done that for months.

I took hydrocodone for a long time, Becki, and I didn't become addicted to it after my knee surgeries. My foot surgeon said to take it regularly for a week. I found the two Alene he prescribed after the week were fine. Not adequate, but enough. ... almost. I wouldn't worry about it. You'll know, and if you are taking it for pain, you'll know if you can cut back or increase the length of time between doses.
I've been going to PT, the chiropractor, and playing at being a property manager this past week. I even went to quilting yesterday morning. We're having our hottest weather this summer right now. On Monday I'm turning the paperwork over to the new property manager. The thirty days are up!
School starts here in two weeks. The firlds of wheat and barley are almost ready to be harvested. The valley floor makes me think of a quilt with a folk art look. We have three different sizes of hay bales. Some are stacked, and some are still in the fields. Tractors and road work make it take longer to get to other destinations! Nights are getting cooler. Unfortunately, we have a fair amount of smoke from California and other states to the west of us.

Not alot going on here again. I'm getting use to this kind of living! DH & I walked this morning & I pulled weeds. They sure have grown after the rain. We also dug up - with permission - a wild catnip plant. Will plant it later today or tomorrow morning when it is cooler. The ones I got last spring did not look the same as the wild type so I hope Waldo likes this. I pulled the others out & hope this will be what he likes.
So far the campground is really quiet - not many new campers in but it is still early. Some weeks quite a few campers have arrived on Thursday. Families are probably getting ready for school. We have a motorcycle group camping across the road from us. Bikers, in general, have been good neighbors when here previously but we have never had them this close to us.
We plan to go to the Farmers Market again tomorrow morning. This time in Richland Center - where we usually go shopping. The other FM is all organic & expensive. That's where I got DD's homemade soap. I got really good green & yellow beans & tomatoes in RC last week & will look for more. Saturday's FM is usually bigger then Wednesdays & we went on Wed last week. After FM we'll stop for breakfast & I'm sure there will be a couple things to pick up at WM - always is.
DH & Waldo just came in & he said W. found the catnip & enjoyed it!! DH said W was funny as he sniffed the air until he zeroed in on where the plant was. He loved it!! I better go plant it while I still have a plant - don't think he'll eat THAT much though.
Phyl, every little bit counts. I'm not losing as fast as I was hoping for - even with walking. I thought moving more would be more beneficial.
Becki, I would think in this day & age with all the discussion about opiod addiction, your doctor will be very conscientious about how long & how much he gives you. Hope your new plate is fitting & working great.
I've missed Sue lately. She did post on the Lifetimers thread today though & seems to be improving.
Mary, have a fantastic week! Jazmin will be fine, but we do worry about our fur babies:)
