Good morning Mike! I'm on my first cup of coffee because I finally got a good night's sleep. Allergies have me coughing.
Lazy day here, only thing I want too get done is to purchase a wedding gift.

Good morning.
Rainy morning with a rainy weekend expected.
Neighborhood pitbull killed two woodchucks on our property and came back yesterday looking for more. She actually is quite the sweetheart, all tail-wags and big wide smiles around people. She came up on our deck to say hello. Friendly towards our dog, too. Her owner mentioned in the past that she had killed woodchucks but damn, I don't want her doing that on our property. We have to heave their 10-15 lb bodies into the wooded area where nature takes it course and those things are heavy. When we found them we figured they were dog-kills because a dog typically kills and leaves things while other predators rip them up and eat them. There was only minor (but obviously lethal) damage that was visible on the woodchucks so yep, chalk it up to a dog. The dog shows absolutely no interest in our chickens, btw.
Nothing much planned for today.

zazzles, you're up early this morning. I'm having a slower day today, no grands coming. I ran to the store for a few things for the weekend. It's "tax-free" weekend so I don't want to be in the stores while parents and kids are buying for the start of school next week. Seems so early to be starting school but my grands will be done before Memorial Day next May. I'm grilling a pork tenderloin for dinner and serving it with baked sweet potatoes. I slice the tenderloin half-way through the long way and open it up (like a book). I marinate it for a few hours and it grills quickly since it's open faced. I coat it with BBQ sauce on both sides for the last few minutes. It cooks quickly and we love the flavor. I'm grilling both of the tenderloins and will freeze one for a later time. Have a great day!

I'm in. Good morning all fullmahina, thanks for the visual lol. I swear the groundhogs/woodchucks in this area are huge like beavers without the paddle tails. I kinda wish we had a neighborhood dog that would remove them. borntexan, I wish I could send our rain to you guys - everything is so bass-ackwards! linda72, dinner sounds delicious! Typical Saturday chores on tap today with grilled burgers for dinner and a movie later on. Have a great day everyone! |

This is my check BACK in since I kicked off the thread early.
I headed out about 10 AM up the peninsula and over to the coast at Half Moon Bay—just to be reminded of what cool air feels like.
Then I continued up the coast to Daly City, south of San Francisco, where I visited a mall I haven't been in for probably a decade. It got some nice interior remodeling, but like most malls the stores hold no attraction for me. They did, however, put a few decent lunch spots on the outside and I had lunch at one: Mod Pizza; no, I didn't eat pizza...I had a salad custom-made to my specifications. Yum.
Finally, I headed south for home, stopping mid-way to avail myself of a new Tesla Supercharger installation (Why should I pay for the car's electricity for these trips when I get feree Supercharging?).
My last stop was at a grocery store for a few items.
I'm now home and resting...but I think I need to lay down and have a REAL nap very soon.
