We are safely at the beach house.....Long morning and we stopped on the way to have Shana's nails clipped. I have to water the plants here since we never go here last weekend so everything is dry. I already watered the back bank but have to get the hose to do the rest of my ground cover. Bobbie never came again but says she is coming tomorrow. I sure hope so since Jim needs his bath. Nancy: I'm giggling 'cause you are a poet and don't know it...."The rain is a pain".....There are times when I enjoy just being alone....but, when Jim sleeps move of the day it can be depressing..... One of the reasons is that I can't go out since I never know when he will need me again. Sandy: I think I will pray that Debbie's attorney is on the ball 100%. The judges listen to attorney's first and the victim 2nd. Harriet: Congrats on staying on "Free" status at WW!....I haven't been there for a looong time and I still pay every month. Phyl: Glad your doctor's appt. went well. I think Bobbie is OK....She just slows down when tired and that is hard on me. She doesn't realize how much I depend on her. This house at the beach needs dusting so bad....and there are so many things to dust since Jim is a collector. He has rock collections, shell collections, bottle collections and being artistic the walls are covered by his paintings. Nancy is the only one who has even seen the beach house...Oh, actually Joan has seen it too but I don't think she has been here since since lost his 2nd leg. I got a lot more done in those days when he still had one. Let's get into our circle of wagons now and sing by the fire "WE CAN DO THIS, YES WE CAN...WE CAN LOSE NEW POUNDS...MY THIN FRIENDS!"

Hi everyone thanks for the start Kathie. Sure hope that Bobbie does come tomorrow for Jim's bath. I was so lucky, right till the end my DH could still take a shower every day with me going in with him. After his strokes they trained me to do that at the hospital. Of course, he had both of his legs. Glad you are watering all your plants at the BH.
Sandy sure sounds like Jeff is impossible. You can thank the Lord every day that you have Fred.
Harriet congrats on being free at WW. I didn't go as we took Tony to the airport and then went to Mimosa for breakfast. I felt sorry for myself the rest of the day. Hope the memorial service is a happy one with a celebration of a happy life.
Phyl so happy to see you here. You have the right attitude about WW. I know we all do better on WW than we would do without it. Sounds like you have a positive attitude about life. Keep it up!
Today I will go to the Greendale festival by myself. No one else wants to go and I need the music. It is in the 60's again and will go up to 80 again but it is not that humid so it is great. Enjoy your Sunday! Hugs and blessings to us all! See you in the morning

Nancy I wish we had your weather but hot and humid here and that along with everything going on is really draining me and I just don't feel like doing anything. I did go to WW yesterday but did not WI and again the attendance was really down. It might be that people are in vacation so will see how it is next week as school will be starting this week for most schools but Maija doesn't start until the 24th. But swim team practice started last week.
Maija had quite the busy day yesterday! 8-10 was swim team practice, then Sam picked her up and they went to watch a parade in his town and got back here about 5:45 and then she left at 6 to babysit and got home from that around midnight! This was for a cousin who also lives in a town nearby. Then tonight she has asked Debbie for a later curfew as there will be a meteor shower that can be watched around 11 and Sam found the perfect place for them to watch it but it's 45 minutes away so Debbie said she could have a 1:45 curfew instead of midnight. This guy is just what Maija really needs right now for her to see just how a gentleman treats a lady. He always gets out of the car to open the door for her, keeps plenty of water in the car to be sure she stays hydrated, gets her home by her curfew, asks her if she had time to eat before he got her and if not gets her food right away, is very respectful of her being vegetarian, texts Debbie to let her know their plans and has now started walking Maija to the door! Debbie is in a state of shock but to me that's how it used to be and I'm so glad he is that way.

Good morning #Partners. I am ready for church, and hope to post before we go. Phyl, you are so right. Yesterday was a good meeting, but I can easily see how some of these topics are hard for some leaders. We went at 7 a.m. and the topic was celebrating ourselves, and, as Phyl says, not letting the scales define us. My goal, from the structure of the lesson, is to journal each meal before I eat it, and hopefully stick to what I plan. That is hard sometimes because of meals we don't know about in advance, like the reception they had after the service yesterday. It was nice and half of our residents were leaving there and going to the next county to the service of another resident at 2. We came home and visited our neighbor in the nursing section. She is the one with pneumonia from aspirating. August has hit us hard. Yesterday morning our organist's daughter died, leaving a 9 month old baby. So next Saturday will be two memorial services too.I did take a nap and read the rest of the day.
Sandy, Sam sounds like such a jewel. It is so nice to know that there are still parents who are teaching their children how to be considerate. Nancy, good for you for getting our for your music. It was hot and humid here, and continues to day. 98% humidity. I want to swim this afternoon for some activity. That and reading will be my day.
Kathie, I know that I don't have to tell you this. Caregiving is exhausting; you have your hands full, and so does Bobbie. Around here we have a good selection of home health agencies - yes, they cost - to provide back up help and respite care.
I want to share another piece of information from yesterday's meeting. Our leader announced that WW is taking the artificial sweeteners out of their foods they sell. The process is beginning now. That has no effect on me as I do not buy their products, but for those who do, it may cause a problem. Of course, we have no idea what they are using for sugar and how it will affect their points and prices. My friend told me (who watches such things) that their stock went down last week when this was announced. I am sure they had a lot of medical evidence to support the decision.
On with my day. Let's make up our mind to be mindful, and do the best we can with our choices.
