Happy Day All!
PeggySue - thanks so very much for the book website. I went crazy! Bookbub is kinda the same, but not as much info all together. I appreciate you!
BettyJ - read Owls and am so happy you enjoyed the wedding. My DGD is 4'11" and her DH is 6'4"! So fun!
Emily - did you and the boys have fun at your sleepover? Bet you did.
Geri - if I could get around DH's sports issues, I'd cut the cable/satellite cord as well.
Mar - glad the fiber is still working for you so well. I've had diffusers in the past, but my sinuses don't like them, or any air freshener or perfume. Oh well.... I just thought it was funny that you can now get a wifi controlled one to use with your phone.
Lin - thanks for the book recommendation. Will definitely look for it. Saw you had yet more storms last night. Feel for you. Costco on Saturday? You are a brave woman - or REALLY needed toilet paper!
Dayle - is the website you listed the one for the house you're working on? Looked around and the completed ones are sure expensive - so much work on them. Wow! My hat is off to you.
Connie - will you please come to GA/FL and be my mom? Delivering Cool Whip or Ice Cream is only one of the very generous things you've been doing for her. I know she appreciates you. (I do have my awesome DDIL and I cherish her.)
Phyl - glad you're feeling well enough to work in the basement. Keep on keepin' on!
Lin - Costco on Saturday? You are a brave woman - or REALLY needed toilet paper!
Sue - A friend did a dessert with watermelon, honeydew, cantalope, blueberries, etc., all mixed together and chilled. Was delicious! Was thinking raspberries too, but wonder if they'd just get squished. Glad you have a cool place to hide from the heat and haze.
Actually dusted the whole cabin yesterday and cleaned our bathroom. I must be sick. I'm really kind of proud of myself, but shouldn't be as long as I put the dusting off. Today is laundry and vacuum - the latter if my back holds up.
Charlie and I walked again this morning - am trying to make myself go as soon as I get up every day. It was only 71, but 95% humidity.
When our neighbor moved, they had a bunch of liquor bottles with just a little bit in them - he used to have poker parties. They didn't want to transport them to TN so gave them to us. One is a huge one with a handle. I'm trying to decide what I can make out of it. Would make a great bird feeder, but don't know what to use for the base. Once it cools off a bit I hope to be back in the shop with the bottles!
Enjoy your day today, everyone.

Good Morning All
Penny - WOW. Dust and bathroom cleaning yesterday and vacuum and laundry today. That will wear you out. You need to rest and relax tomorrow. Bless your heart.
Betty - Glad you enjoyed the wedding.
Emily - How was the sleepover?
Phyl - Did you get a lot done in the basement?
Sue - Hope that heavy haze didn't make you miserable.
My usual Sunday of reading and/or Hallmark.
Everyone have a Sensational Sunday.

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Mostly cloudy today. Currently it's 78; the high for today will be 82.
I had a great night with the boys. I let them stay up till almost 10pm but Frankie kept worrying because he said bedtime was 9pm. I told them both that while I watched them we follow my rules and I say lights out at 10. I wanted their company. He was ok with that.
Today I'm going to visit TJ and hoping for another fun day.
Have a great day!

Sue, I have made a dessert with store bought angel food cake and made a mixture of berries and Cool Whip. Slice the cake and top with the berry Cool Whip topping. I have brought it to several parties and people love it. Light and refreshing.
Have to read Owls and the wedding description. Making a cheese omelet for Sunday Brunch. Enjoy the day.

Peggy Sue, love your avatar. When my Mom lived in your area tried not to go there in August. It is miserable especially anyone that does not deal well with humidity like me. Just saps my strength. Even the beach is uncomfortable. Like my swimming water a little cooler than bath water. did like most everything else in that area though. I am the only one in my family to like winter so I stayed in Pa when they all moved to Florida.
It was 75° when I got up this morning and sky is finally clear and blue. The rain clouds yesterday never did have any rain in them. But for some reason the humidity has gone down. Didn't watch the weather last night as I had my nose in book.
Text with DGD last night and she will know how much the catered food will cost for the shower this week. Since the baby shower is a picnic for families she is having grilled, BBQ and smoked meats. Her Mom and Mother in Law are taking care of the decorations and the cost of the pavillion and I am helping with the price of the food. She will let me know the best way to handle this. Know she is getting excited about the Baby shower and it is next Saturday. I will be going with DD#2 as DD#1 will be going early to help set up. DD#1 has been busy this summer and will be nice to see her, darn she is a hard person to pin down sometimes. Her SO works at a golf course as one of his jobs and they like to go to the lake and it has been a good summer for that. It gets him away and since she works at a DR office she needs the break from the drama of constantly dealing with the public as well. she is so not a people person!! More like her Dad than me, go go go!!
Isn't it funny how two kids raised the same can turn out so different? I hear that all the time from my friends. and doesn't seem to matter boys or girls. I have delivered her fresh veggies and even wine this summer. So yes, Penny I would spoil you too!!!

Good morning everyone,
Today is Dd#1 36th birthday. Celebrating out to dinner tonight.
Weather is a little better. Low 90's but humidity is still high.
Today is the start of the 4th day of the fiber. Still only 1/8 teaspoon. Was bloated when going to bed last night and still a little this morning. Hope that I do not start to have problems with it. The people that had to stop were the ones that it caused bloating, cramps and general not feeling good. Might be they took more than they should in the beginning. Said in directions a body needs to adjust to fiber supplements so hopefully that's all it is. I am taking such a low dose. I will be so dissapointed if this does not help.
Today I plan on deadheading the rose bushes. Extra project today is mopping master bathroom and front entry floors.
Penny- great job getting caught up in cabin. You are doing great walking every morning.
Peggy Sue- I have been on a hallmark kick for a few weeks. I find them relaxing.

Congrats on the C , Penny.
No storm last night but cloudy , so I couldn't look for Persiad meteors. Mars sure has been bright.
the headache comes and goes as sinuses get irritated, since all that dust. I keep spraying with saline. Have to start the day with sudafed. But we have only been at 101-102 which is nice so Micki got a second walk.
today looks like one of those misc. do the little things you put off days.
ASU dorms had move in day this weekend...so we have over 75,000 full and part time students converging this week for semester one about ten miles north of me. Sure makes a traffic difference.

Good morning. Trying to recover from my big day yesterday. The wedding was beautiful. Such a great young couple. Mother of the bride kind of overdid it. She looked more like she was going to a cocktail party. Strapless, skin tight gold dress with a short train. Her speech at the reception went on forever. Don't think many were listening to her rambling, same with maid of honor. Food was good. Wish now we had stayed overnight but Dave didn't want to so that was the end of that.
Went to get Ozzie from boarding this morning. He was happy to see us.
Doing laundry and cleaning up a bit not. Need a nap but hate when it looks messy in here. Have to get back to my one task every day.

Morning All!
Just barely morning, got a real late start. Was on my way down this morning when SIL rang my bell. She wanted to know if I would provide some advice on managing an estate (I’ve been executor for 2) for a friend whose mother just passed away. Can’t say there will be much to it, since her mother lost most of her assets from being sick for so long and she rented not owned her home. So I said sure and they are coming to visit Monday night. I can think of other things I would rather be involved with, but I’ll help where I can. Not that I know all the answers, but at least I know the right questions to ask.
Penny the link I posted yesterday was of the doll house/showcase I bought. I think it’s listed for $175. now, but back in 2010 it was $150. Some of the others are really expensive and if you want them to build it for you it can run well over $1,000. That’s just plain crazy! Half the fun or the sense of accomplishment is making it yourself. I can hear the “itch” to get back to your bottle hobby in your post. Can’t wait to hear/see what you will be up to.
Betty sounds like the wedding was nice and normal. I smiled when I read you wanted to get back to your Ozzie. Life’s priorities become so simple when you have a pup you love.
Emily glad you had a good time with the boys. Grandma’s rules are always the best!
Going to do some wash and then maybe a tinker or two.
Everyone enjoy your Sunday!

Phyl, you probably did geta lot done as that is the kind of task that expand and then involved other areas nearby!
Dayle, good point. Often the right questions are better than old answers, especially since legal stuff changes!
