I'm IN.
Scrambly day on tap. DaBoyz (the 2 bigger ones) are at my house. I am at the MousekeHouse and after the Mice have bkfst we will go to the bank and then join DaBoyz for the morning.
The plan is to hear back to the MousekeHouse after lunch. They-all will game and I will make our shared protein for dinner.
Just another ☔ rainy day ☔ in DivaLand. Coffee helps... ☕☕☕...

Good morning, everyone! It's a rainy day where I am, too, and is supposed to be raining most of the day. The plants and wildlife like it. It puts me into what I call a "Smooth Jazz" kind of mood.

Good morning. High, gray fog this morning. But it will get hot. Yesterday it got hot and very humid midday. A breeze cooled things off to comfortable by the late afternoon. cyndee, most of my waking hours when I'm sitting around the house I have the Music Choice Easy Listening channel playing. Mostly what was called "elevator music" in earlier decades. You'd think I grew up in an elevator! My menu is planned and we'll see how that goes. I did pretty well most of last week, but the scale crept up over the weekend. I never know how it will translate onto the scale at WW. This morning will be our last WW meeting at the center we currently attend; the meeting is being closed as of today. Nest week most of us will descend on another center for their Monday morning meeting. I've heard from many staff that the leader is VERY popular and the meeting is VERY large. This will be an adjustment for my group, and it remains to be seen whether we will even be able to find seating together. If it doesn't work out, Starbucks will be our alternative solution to WW meetings. The Dinner in Provence class was interesting last night. The steak was probably the tastiest, most tender one I've ever eaten; the fingerling potato salad with vinagrette was amazing; and even the fresh-made ice cream was good (although there's not time to freeze it solid; I said we should have put it in a pastry bag and piped it into cones for the world's best softies!). I'm looking forward to the Julia Child's Birthday class on Wednesday night, as well as the Julia Child's desserts class on Saturday. I wish everyone a happy and peaceful day.

I'm at the grands this morning and we're heading back to my house soon. I will be supervising them as they clean up DGD11's bedroom. They re-made it into a giant cave/fort last week and tomorrow is their last day with me so it needs to transform back into a bedroom. It has been fun being with them every day. School starts Wednesday and then I will probably only see them on the weekends. Mike, you dinner sounds great. Hot and dry again here in Houston and that will probably last for the next few weeks at least. As long as the Gulf stays quiet and doesn't develop tropical storms, I am okay with the heat. Happy Monday! diva49, sounds like you will stay busy in retirement!

zazzles, I agree your dinner sounds delicious! Enjoy your upcoming Julia dessert. Smooth Jazz is actually pretty cool music, unlike some elevator music.

Many roads are flooded here. It was a miserable drive in. Oh, well. I'm in, planned and tracked.

I'm in & busy in the kitchen this morning. I have bacon jam simmering for cookbook club on Wednesday. I have an appointment tomorrow & the jam cooks down quite a while so I decided to get it done today. I also made a chickpea salad to try. My son saw it in a cookbook I brought home from the library & thought it looked good. It'll be a nice lunch if it's tasty. Also made my dressing for our Rachel sandwiches we're having tonight. My kitchen is a mess right now so I need to get in there. zazzles, Your dinner sounds wonderful. I used to go to a local shop that offers cooking classes. I need to look at their fall schedule. Hope everyone has a great day!

I had to google a Rachel Sandwich lavonm when I saw it in the other thread, that looks really good! (Basically a Reuben with turkey instead of pastrami if anyone else is curious too.)

I started doing turkey to save points & we ended up liking it better. I also make my own dressing for it, which i prefer over the Thousand Island dressing that you buy.

Last day of Mimi camp. Not much on the agenda. Praying that DD gets switched to another school or I'm taking the grands to school this year
