It's pleasant enough at the moment to be laying on the chaise on the patio [ducking the bricks DebDoesWW is throwing at me!]. This morning's meeting was bittersweet—the last for a meeting that's been going for over 20 years. It was good to rendevous with everyone and find that, it seems, all but 3 longtimers will be going to the Monday meeting at an alternate location. Our leader made an emotional exit speech and everyone got a bit choked up. And we had a group photo taken by someone who just joined the meeting today. After the meeting I picked up the few ingredients I needed in order to make slow cooker mushroom-barley risotto for dinner. I think I need to defrost a chicken breast to add to the menu because my protein total for the day is low and I know that that risotto dish makes portions that are just way too big given how filling it is.
