Happy Day All!
So sorry to hear about Grammy Pat. Liked her a lot, particularly that she was always so upbeat and positive - with a good sense of humor. Thanks, Connie for the news.
Lin - those are some very scary storms you're having. The pictures really bring it to life for us. Glad you found some bras you like. I hate 'em!
PeggySue - know you enjoyed DGS, and his cooking. Sounds yummy.
Connie - everything crossed that DD's house sells. She needs that!
Dayle - it's interesting how getting out of your routine just one day can throw everything off. I don't have much of a routine, except early morning walk and then on the computer until breakfast. But don't mess that up!
Mar - I wish I could get on the cleaning routine, but it won't happen. Nope, no way. Too many good books to read and dogs to play with. Plus, this cabin is so small it's easy to clean. Unexpected company just has to take me as I am - flawed!
Yesterday DDIL took everything out of all my cabinets - I did help - and put down new shelf paper. I'm getting rid of two huge boxes of stuff I haven't used in the 9 years we've had the cabin. Several things she told me to take away were a large rice cooker and a large roasting pan - both of which she gave me! Then she vaccumed! We were both really tired when done after about 2.5 hours. She does not slow down! Love her.
Had an HOA officers meeting last night - finally. It was good - just hope everyone does what they said they would. It was at the president's house and his wife provided wine and some awesome chocolate/caramel/oatmeal bars. Oh my, it was good!
Well, DH is up and breakfast will need to start soon. Cheers, all.

Good Morning All
Lin - Awesome, scary picture.
Penny - I really agree. Playing with my dog and reading a good book comes before cleaning. Unexpected company is welcome to come in, sit down, converse. It doesn't always look like this, some days it's even worse.
Unless my memory is wrong (which it often is) we lost Pat last year. I've been wondering how Doug is doing.
Still working on another book shelf.
Everyone have a Top-notch Tuesday.

Morning All!
Yep Pat passed away last year. I got a Facebook notice that it was her birthday last week. When I went out to write a birthday wish, I saw all the loving memory type stuff posted. She was a very nice lady, had a great sense of humor. Facebook should have a way of closing down an account – maybe they do, maybe everyone should live forever out there in cyber space.
I used to make fun of Lily and other dogs about how they were so stuck in a rut, time/schedule wise. At 9:05 PM Lily’s little clock goes off every night which signals time to get ready for bed – give me my pills and my snack and let’s get moving. When I have company and we go past the witching hour, she stares at me like I’ve committed the biggest sin/crime known to mankind. Some nights when I stay up really late binge watching some video with cousin or friend, she literally groans in front of me, like “torture – torture”. Well I guess I’ve got an internal clock/calendar too! Throwing that extra day in there last week, really did mess up my schedule! I’m still catching up.
I have a grocery order coming in a little while. The free delivery coupon is always a handy thing. This week they lowered the minimum of the order – guess a lot of people are away and they are encouraging people to shop. Either way I’ll take it. They even had a few specials there to tempt me. I like that they call before they leave to tell me the out of stocks and to ask if I want to substitute anything. Great service that will keep me loyal for sure.
I got my glue from Amazon yesterday so I should finish off the trim on the doll house today. I’ve given my niece “the miniature bug” so she will become my partner in crime with this project. I took out my Dremmel rotary tool yesterday and checked all my attachments. Some of my sanding tools needed to be chucked, other bits and pieces needed cleaning. So I am ready to go. I ordered a fake door (won’t open or close- there’s no opening) for the side of the house, so I can make my stairs and my side yard. I also bought (someone save me from my impulses) a roll of asbestos type shingles to test out. The roof shingles that came with the kit are little wood chips – meant more for a Cape Cod by the sea house, then a 4 story walk up. They’re on their way. . . .
Everyone have a great day.

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Partly sunny today, maybe showers later. Currently 77; the high for today is 82.
I had a foot doctor appointment first thing this morning. Everything looks good.
No other plans except its laundry day for me since I was at DD's all day yesterday. The boys were good and we had more fun.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone,
Slept in until 8:00 this morning. Felt good.
Taking the the cars in for service this morning. Mine needs a battery and his just needs routine check up and oil change.
Still feeling good over here. Today is day #6. Seriously I am not very hungry. I am eating 3 meals but have no desire for snacks. Great side effect. Hope it stays this way.
Penny- it took a while for me to try the daily extra projects. Will never go back to "cleaning days" ever again.
We are having a block garage sale in September or October. That should unload a ton of stuff that is in our garage.
Thats good pats hubby is doing ok. It must be hard.
Dayle- dollhouse is coming along nicely.
Emily- great news about your foot.

Dayle, looking forward to seeing the doll house.
I went on a healthy food grocery trip this morning, TJ's, Publix and the Fresh Market. Have avocados, broccoli and cauliflower florettes, Greek yogurt, bananas, blueberries, lemons and more. Going to purge the fridge and freezer this afternoon and make hummus.
Mar, good for you. Time to move my fanny.

Woke up early grumpy and headache- clogged so I had my coffee , made breakfast and mowed our small lawn. That unclogged things to the extreme. Boy is it humid. Not going to do dog walk. Micki does worse with it than I. cleaned up debris from storms and had to shower although I already looked like a small waterfall.
Did laundry and dishes and cleaned out a couple cabinets...pull dates and things I just do not use. To my amazement it was only 9:30. DH had been to Staples for stuff and had to wait for it to open!

Lin, where do you buy the bras. I have always bought Bali but lately find I don't like them as much.
I woke up early today too. Not ambitious though. Did clean out the veggie drawer in the frig. Got green beans and cucumbers ready to go with the burgers for supper. Ironed a couple of DH dress shirts that he wore over the weekend. Got my granddaughters pillows made. We did get the fabric yesterday.
Just now got back from the post office and went to DD for fiberfill for the pillows. High pollen count is giving me a headache.
Dayle, you must have extreme patience to do those miniatures.
Ozzie had one walk this morning. Think we'll wait til later for another. To hot for him to walk on the cement.

Penny I think I confused you with the Memory of Life Celebration that I said Doug had for her for her birthday with family and friends. sorry.
My friend and I met our school chums about half way from each other for lunch and it was a neat place. used to be a big farm house and the menu was extensive. I had chicken Parm. sandwich and it was very good. Just a small salad as a side. The company was good and we had a lot of fun getting caught up and talking about old times. they look really good although His wife has a lot of health issues. they do seem to be busy with younger grandson playing baseball and is on a traveling team. Most of their grandkids are in their 20's. This one is a step so getting to do the Grandkid stuff all over again and enjoying it a lot. Keeping him young for sure.
Cloudy and very humid today but more sunshine tomorrow.
Have a bit of headache, so going to stretch out for a bit and hope it goes away.
