TOOT, TOOOOT! CHUG, CHUG, CHUG! Here comes the Train to Thinsville down the track and into your station so hop on board and enjoy the ride.
This morning in Starkville, MS it was 72º and going up to 93º with scattered clouds and the possibility of an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon with winds light and variable.
Yesterday MJ and Hannah left to take the dogs north to Nebraska to be boarded until we all get there. They plan to drive back today.
Rachael, Sarah and I will work on getting together the things we need to take to Nebraska. The rest of the things in the house will stay here. I think the only furniture that is ours to take will be the sofa, love seat, a rocking chair, some book cases, an entertainment center, and two bedside tables the girls found in a thrift shop. Our other things are still in storage somewhere and we haven’t heard when or if we will get them back.
We’ll also take any non-perishable food we have, some pots and pans and baking dishes, kitchen utensils, the peach jam MJ made, some empty jam jars, a few dishes and cups and bowls, and MJ’s mixer that the movers left behind except for the beaters which apparently were packed. MJ also got the good news that the owner of this house would like us to move out as soon as possible because he has someone who wants to move in by 9/1. We want to be back in Lincoln for the girls to start school on Monday so that shouldn’t be a problem.
I sorted through the school supplies we got here for the girls and we’ll take those along with us and they can use them there.
MAXINE CALENDAR: Thurs 8/16: This heat just might break the thermometer. That’s if I don’t get to it first.
PEANUTS CALENDAR: Thus 8/16: THE DAILY EXTRA: Anagram: Rearrange the letters in the phrase to discover the related words or phrase. I’m a dot in place
Answer: a decimal point
