Hi owls . Kind of a do nothing day. Walked Ozzie this morning and by the time we got back I was worn out. Humidity pretty high and pollen count up.
Read for a while and made a trip to the grocery store and farmers market. Got a bit wet at the farmers market. Didn't look around much just got what we needed. They did have corn this week so got that, cucumbers, tomatoes and zucchini.
Bought some Colorado peaches at the grocery store. Last ones I got were so good, hope these are the same.
What have all you owls been up to today? bettyj

BY noon it was 100 with 45% humidity which feels like 107. I had already walked Micki for #2 late because the cold kept me up coughing last night til after 2
they say exercise is good for a cold because it increases metabolism? Well, I did three hours of removing stuff from ten shelves on two sides of pantry, cleaning under contact paper I had not stuck down where crumbs or pieces of crackers got under it, wiping everything with vinegar , putting honey containers onto ziplock bags and checking my recent seals on anything else. Found a little hole between door frame and baseboard where you donβt see it and filled it with sparkle.
Why? Last two nights I wanted ovaltine and when I opened to pantry two black ants went scampering. Not a good sign and had no idea from where. This is new. Yuck. Usually we get one yearly invasion of sugar ants by the sink counter when heat comes in. Not this year as I put Tero ant bait stakes outside near where they come from and put a flower pot upside down over it to keep Micki from it. Maybe I need new ones.
The area smells like vinegar and oil of oil of peppermint , the hole is filled and there is no a available food source. Fingers crossed.
time to repoof diametricious earth around the foundation outside again after the storms.

hi owls, what have I been up to today? not getting my sewing rooms cleaned like I wanted. talked to theresa for awhile. then to much time on the puter.
don asked what was I going to do withthe cucumbers or he would start giving them away. so I made 3 jars of dills. hope they turn out. I was almost done when I read the card and it said canning salt. don't know why I didn't catch that.
then it was time to clean the kitchen with a good going over. for now the kitchen is the cleanest room in the house.
now I need to get to the playpen and get things ready to go to winona in the am. I signed up for a paper piecing class.
I might skip ww in the am. my day will be if I go ww,paper piecing class, chrio and we have tickets to the home builders show houses. we might just make a couple houses tomorrow.the show goes for 2 weekends so if we don't go this weekend we are fine.
we had a nice little rain this am. about 4.30 we got some more.think we might get more tonight.
don has to feed jeana's cat in the am.jeana called and they are staying another night in the deluth mn area.they wanted to kayak today. they would have done that and then came home it would be very late. 6 hour drive. phyl

Hello everyone,
Had a nice day doing as little as possible. I did do laundry and changed bed sheets but that's about it. Tomorrow will be out for a few hours with friends. I went to high school with her.
Lin- your energy level amazes me. I would have killed the 2 ants and waited to see if more arrive. Especially if I had a cold.
Phyl- I would have given away the cucumbers. That was a lot of work.

I use to make pickles plus can tomatoes, beets, green beans. It is work but the worse part is the mess. Getting jars ready, making the brine, etc. Just don't have the desire to do that anymore.
Phyl, bet your pickles will be great. We had a nice rain here too. Could have used more, things very dry. bettyj
