Happy Day All!
If it's any indication of how my day is going already, I wrote "Happy Day All" in the subject line - twice! Oh my! Charlie and I walked already and came out on the porch to get started. Nice and breezy - cloudy and very humid. Of course I was working at the table with the most breeze, not under cover, and it started to sprinkle/mist. Now under the covered part and hoping to finish. Maybe I'll just go back to bed! HA!
No plans today except a few errands. If I get inspired I might go pick up my quarterly 3 bottles of wine at the wine store, but it's about 45 minutes away. Will have to see what the weather does as I don't like to be on I-75 in the pouring rain, and I don't know the back roads well enough to go that way.
Was thinking about Emily and her DGS's wedding. Hoping all goes well and she has fun. She's earned it for sure.
Phyl - I'm lucky as I don't have to pick up poo - big or little. In GA, Charlie goes across the street in the woods and in FL we have a huge backyard and he goes way over on the edge in the wilder part. No one ever walks there. So considerate of him. Also, because he's on the wireless fence, I don't have to walk him. Your friends are lucky to have someone like you who will pet-sit.
Dayle - I really wish you'd take pictures of your project as you go along and post them so we can share your progress and understand what exactly you're doing.
Still wishing success for everyone with their eye issues. Apparently Patti on Night Owls is also having problems. Feel for you all!
Lin - get those ants! I learn about so many products on this board - thanks to all.
Mar - is the neighborhood meeting tonight? Good luck! Will be interested to know how many show up.
Guess I need to get started at something productive - like making my bed and making breakfast. Have a good day, everyone.

Not much happening here this morning. First load of clothes in the washer. Don't think I have anywhere to go either. Have a book in at the library but don't have to pick it up today.
Made Ozzie a vet appt for tomorrow. He had a coughing spell yesterday but figured he had something tickling in his throat. Had another during the night. He has had his kennel cough protection but he was boarded last weekend so worry about that and also allergies. No appts available til tomorrow morning.
Had a fresh Colorado peach for breakfast. Yum... bettyj

Good morning everyone,
Today we are going out to lunch with one of my high school friends and her husband. Will be fun.
Still doing well taking the fiber. No IBS issues, not super hungry, no sugar cravings, no bloating or gas. It's a miracle. Lol lol. Still only taking 1/8 teaspoon once a day. Such a small amount but I guess that's all I need. I also eat soluble foods during the day.
Penny- it's great you are walking every day with Charlie. The neighborhood meeting is Tuesday August 28 at 7:00pm. Will be interesting to see how many show up. I hope it's less than 35.

Morning All!
Penny I posted a picture this morning on FB of the progress so far. Lin if you can swipe it and put it here, that would be helpful.
Listening to all talk about ants - I've had a bumper crop this year! I bought traps, but Lily picks them up. Ended up laying them on top of counters in kitchen, but I think they like them! Used Raid ant spray and kept Lily out of the room until it dried - but didn't like the possibility of her picking up the residue on her paws. Read on the internet that vinegar works, so I've been using that and it seems to get them to move on fast. Like Lin usually only get them in spring, but this year all summer long. Even upstairs in the bedroom. Tell me how those suckers climb a full story!!!!! I'm hoping I have them on the run now. Worry they are making reinforcements for next year.
Have a great vision story for you all since it seems to be a universal problem here. Yesterday I get a call from my plumber who asks why I paid him $2,300. He said he got a check from me for that amount. Went out on my bank statement and sure enough there was a check, but it should have gone to Chase Manhattan (credit card) instead of Concord plumbing. Went back to my payment receipt copy and sure enough my bifocals must have been acting up because I moved one line up on the payee list to my plumber instead. I know a few of you don't like electronic banking, but I called the bank and they immediately cancelled the check, put the money back in my account and I was able to pay Chase, all in one day. When I worked my bifocals would always get me in trouble with spread sheets, moving a line up or down. So now I have to be more careful with my banking line items as well. Unfortunately my chase bill was due yesterday so I have to call them and see if they will wave the late payment charge. I have never been late with a bill in my life, so they better be nice about it or else. Never ending drama of the senior experience. UGH!!!!
Well need to get going. Hope everyone has a great day!

Dayle, I did that one time with Citgo ( my gas for car card) and Citi Bank, Also like the online banking or it would have taken days to get that straightened out. Lucky I noticed it before it was due to be sent.
I have no plans today and have a major headache. think the barometer is going crazy today. We got 10 drops of rain. Honest that was it. And now sun is back out, very humid. I don't like these kinds of summer days at all.
My friend had her nose surgery this morning and she is home and says okay. she was really nervous about this. the Dr told her not at all like nose surgery used to be but she was still scared. She had the deviated septum surgery done years ago and that was a rough one. Now to wait on the biopsy.
I hung up all my tops that I got yesterday, also got a jeans skirt and another skort. This one is all swirls of colors. Had a great time in C & B. Also now can wrap the car seat as I found a beautiful blanket to put in with it. that is going to be a job. Box is heavy and bulky, got 2 rolls of heavy duty wrapping paper to use on it. I do like wrapping presents, good thing!!

Dayle, you out a little Terro or homemade stuff on an Old can lid or piece of cardboard where the ants hang out on the counter. They love it. They scurry back to the nest and feed it to others and the Queen. It may take two or three days watching that line of ants π π π π . Be patient. It stops when they are all dead. It also shows you where they are getting in
While Micki is at grooming, I went out and proofed food grade diametricious earth around foundation , doorways, and patio pillars and under fridge ,dishwasher, washer ,and sinks. I put it all over the stucco on one pillar where I think carpenter ants are back going into a crack between the patio roof and pillar. The stuff dries up bugs so they head for water. If any are getting in the House you find them dead near water sources. Yuck.
