Hi Peggysue and Dog Days participants,
Partly cloudy and 66, no wind, high 88.
Wednesday was wi in was down 2 lbs, I think it was all the sweating I was doing trying to assemble that @#&* Ikea bookcase. Spent three hours and still couldn't get it to assemble correctly. Never had this problem in the past, I've put together three of the same type of furniture. The shelves would not sit flush with the sides, spend over an hour digging out the holes and still can't get it to work (the shelves are anywhere between 1/8 to 1/2 inch from the sides). Tried calling Ikea and that's a wast of time. Wednesday and yesterday went to work. Today, I need to make out mu grocery list, and hope to get the bookcase done, think I'll try a drill.
Yesterday was the first day of school for the boys. Medium R will have three big brothers looking out for him at school and on the bus, Reese and two of Reese's best friends.
Not much else to share.
Cat, yes Medium R will have a fancy car when he gets bigger, but then again both his parents have expensive taste, but can afford it too.
Happy belated birthday Lucy, hope it was a great day of celebration.
Doris, safe travels to you and your family. Glad you were able to find a place in Lincoln so fast. This may be good, if Hannah is planning on attending medical school in Nebraska she'll get to take advantage of instate tuition.
WOW! Page 4 yesterday haven't seen that in a while.
Have a good day, will try to get back and see what ya'll are up to.
Linda

Good Morning Peggysue and Dog Days,
This morning in Starkville, MS it was 72Âş and going up to 87Âş with scattered clouds and the possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon with winds light and variable. Besides gusty winds, small hail is possible in some storms.
MJ took Rachael to Urgent Care Tuesday and they said the strep test was negative, but she still isn’t feeling very good, so she may need another trip there. She was going to help start packing but hasn’t felt up to anything yet.
Yesterday when MJ and Hannah were on their way back from taking the dogs to Lincoln. Hannah said they had stopped at a “pet friendly” motel Wednesday night. As they were leaving their room a 12” snake tried to come in, so they decided not to stay there and ended up driving most of the night. I’m not sure where they are right now but they were talking about getting a place to sleep before they come all the way back. The latest word was that they should be here by 2:00 PM today.
MAXINE CALENDAR: Fri 8/17: Apparently, it’s “National Happiness Happens Month.” I guess my invitation got lost in the mail.
PEANUTS CALENDAR: Fri 8/17: THE DAILY EXTRA: 10 Years Ago on This Date . . . August 17, 2008 Swimmer Michael Phelps won a gold medal in the 400-meter medley relay, becoming he first athlete to win eight gold medals in a single Olympic Games.

Dinner was nice last night but weight is really up this morning! I think Sam enjoyed himself and the two little ones Maija has been babysitting insisted they had to be near her so were very entertaining and very good. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and one grand nephew with his wife and 18 month old son were there. He had just returned from deployment on July 4th so it was good to see him and know he's home safe. Fred's oldest sister wasn't able to make it but is coming to town Sunday to see the youngest sister before she heads back to Portland. The oldest sister's birthday was the 15th and it had been hoped to celebrate her birthday as well but we will do that Sunday and this time it's just the youngest sister, oldest sister, Fred and me so a much smaller group. So I guess tomorrow I'll WI and take my lumps at the scale and do the dinner Sunday night and then really buckle down and get back to really watching points and since it'll be cooler get out walking again like Fred and I were doing before the heat and humidity started. So at least I'm putting a plan in place and will stick to it, no more excuses as the number I saw on the scale this morning was one I haven't seen in a while and was not good!

Ok ladies, I'll try this again!!! I just hate it when the board won't let me send my post. It told me that the board was not responding!!!
We made it to Page 4 yesterday!!! I'm sorry I didn't know it was Lucy's birthday ahead of time so we could have planed the party. But I know my gang here enjoyed themselves yesterday!!! Jack said last night he always misses the parties we have on here!!! He said he would have loved going to each of our campers to eat all the good food and play all the different games and play with all the Fur Babies. He said grandma I wish we really could do a party for real with all your friends here!!! I told him I do to. I wonder if my stomach will let me eat anything for breakfast this morning now? I didn't sleep good last night, my back was hurting me bad from going to Jacks Hockey skill tryouts. He has one again tonight and Saturday and Sunday and then he will find out which group he will play in for this season. He is playing in a traveling league this season for Hockey. I don't think he will have any of his teammates from last year playing with him. Well, I guess I better eat breakfast now and take my meds. I will come back later and see what everyone is up to. Peggysue, Mo.

YIKES Doris!! They weren't kidding about being a "pet friendly" motel, but I think that's taking it a bit too far. I'm glad MJ and Hannah decided to leave, who knows if that snake had any friends near by. Hope MJ and Hannah was able to find someplace to rest and that they were able to get their money back from that motel.

Kathie, sometimes that is just what I need a light weight blanket at night. I like the room cool but like the weight of at least a sheet or lt blanket. So yes I love the idea of the blanket with clouds.
I do have the windows open right now but air is not very fresh. It is so humid and I have had a headache all morning. My neighbor/friend had nose surgery this morning at 9am and she said she just called to let me know she is home and OK. No not a nose job, had an ulcer in her nose that would not heal. Had been dealing with it with creams etc for too long and glad they are doing something about it. Will send it to be biopsied.
I am not sure what plans are for today, DD and DSIL are off today and she said she would let me know what was going on. DSIL worked midnights last night so he will sleep for awhile. Dish washer is running and need to sort some clothes for the washer. Some one is burning and now I have to shut my windows. With all this humidity the smoke just lays there. Several people have burning barrels so not sure where it is coming from but stinks!!
Peggysue, all of us suggest a name for the month and then the vote happens. Cat and Phyl both do a great job keeping track. I usually miss someone when I do. guess we have never had a rule about who does the initial keeping track. after the name for the month is picked then we can pick our own names. the person that starts the thread usually posts it unless they have trouble with cut and paste and then any of us can post it each day. See no rules just cooperation and fun.

Connie, thanks for explaining how you all do the thread to me. I think I just got it all wrong!! So I don't say when it is time to stat picking names for next month and I don't have to keep track of the names. I took notes for starting the thread and how to copy and past all the names and how to edit it so there is no big space between the names. I also figured out how to get the names bigger and in color!!!! Now the only thing I need to learn is how to put up pictures on here. Anybody want to tell me how to do that? And help me figure it out? I have had fun starting the thread this month, so I will take my turn again next time!!!
Doris, I wouldn't have stayed at that motel either!!! I don't like any kind of snakes!!! I hope they made it back ok. I still think the girls have allergy problems. I bet they get the same kind of junk I get down the back of my throat. Because it will cause me to get a sore throat and not stripe throat. I don't get a head cold wiith it either. All I wind up getting is laryngitis from it and the Dr. said it was an infection from my allergies.
Well, I'm going to go find a movie on Netflix to watch and maybe take a nape !! Peggysue, Mo.

Cat, the best part of getting hair cut is just relaxing and love getting my hair shampooed . Maybe relaxing will help the AFIB. Hey it can't hurt anyway.
Peggysue wants directions on putting pictures up and I give such bad instructions. Maybe you can help her, your's are much better than mine.
I have
SEPT JOYS (Cat) HARVEST TIME (Connie) for the names of September month. Need more so we can vote.
Know Phyl said she would probably not be here today.

I'm way late. Maybe I partied too much yesterday. No, actually I had to leave early to go in for blood work to find out what is going on with me. I swear it is the new blood thinner. Dunno but I will not take another till I find out. Back to fish oil and vitamin e till I hear results.
Went to the gym for about an hour then stopped for a burger and a shake. Came home and fell asleep in my chair. I do not know why I am so tired anymore. A-G E?
I am trying to think of a September theme.
