TOOT, TOOOOT! CHUG, CHUG, CHUG! Here comes the Train to Thinsville down the track and into your station so hop on board and enjoy the ride.
This morning in Starkville, MS it was 72º and going up to 84º with scattered thunderstorms in the morning, then cloudy with more thunderstorms developing this afternoon and winds will be light and variable.
I’m happy to say we were finally able to get in touch with DGS Jason. He is due to start teaching his home-schooled kids tomorrow, but he said it wouldn’t be a problem to put it off a couple of days. He will load everything on a rental truck and take it north to our house. Then he will have a rental car for his return trip.
I’m not sure how soon I will be able to post again but it will be after we have moved in I think. We hope to have everything packed and loaded by about 10:00 AM and be on our way. We were up until 1:00 AM sorting and packing and I kept waking up all night. We hope to be there by early Sunday afternoon so the girls can get some rest before starting school on Monday.
MAXINE CALENDAR: Sat & Sun 8/18-19: Few things are as refreshing as a cold beer in the summer. Or any other time of year.

Good morning!
Doris, thank God for Jason! He is a real blessing! What a relief to know how things are going to work!
73º to 90º here today. but we'll stay in and quiet, I think. One never knows, it seems. Yesterday, we worked all day getting Anne kind of moved in. All the things she picked are out of our house at least. We took people to lunch yesterday, so there would be little break in their action. A note to the wise -- the furniture you have to put together is cheaper in dollars, but very expensive in time. He mom worked all day, with DGS2 helping her, and they almost got the bed put together. They still have the chest of drawers and an entertainment unit. We are in hiding! We'll have 2 DGDs here today for several hours, but we won't do anything special with them. DGD2 (13) will be tired after working all day yesterday, and DGD3 (9) will probably want to play on the computer. I may have them do a chore or two, but I doubt it. I do not feel like working today.
Have a good Saturday, friends! Prayers for Doris and family (including Jason) as they travel north. Be happy today! Diane

Will be waiting for the Nebraska report, Doris!

good morning, praying for a safe trip and no problems with the truck or car.
yes praise the lord for jason.
the conductor will start the train till our engineer feels up doing the train again.
last night we went to one house on the parade of homes.
beautiful . decorated very simple but elgeant.
think there were 4 bathrooms. one br had a very deep tub in it. must be for soaking. oh my gosh margie and I would have to have a ladder to get in and a ladder in the tub to get out. I would hate to be the one leaning over to clean it.
I could have my morning coffee sitting on the wrap around porch during the summer.
after lunch we will go to a few more.
have a wonderful saturday riders. phyl
