My sister was transferred from ICU to a Hospice facility last night. I'm going to see her Sunday through Tuesday. hb's caregiver is staying with hb. He's not available overnight, and this was one of those mysterious things that is working out. I'm working on plans to be able to go back and forth as needed.
DS had been in the hospital for two weeks, then had a respiratory crisis and was sent to ICU. I wasn't told until her second day in ICU. Shes been keeping secrets intimidating her male friend who is not her boyfriend and telling him not to tell me. My younger DD was on her way there immediately and has been piecing the story together bit by bit.
My older DD and I will be there tomorrow. Younger DD is going home to take her kids to school on the Monday, the first day. She may return after we leave.
The prognosis is very poor - a few days to a few months. It's very complicated and a very long story. She has COPD and hasn't smoked in twenty years, also lots of additional health problems.

Good morning all,
Temperature will be 85* today with a possibility of thunderstorms. I think we had a storm overnight. When I got up to go to the bathroom I think I saw a flash and heard a little rumble. The chair came yesterday but I had already left for my meeting with the physical therapist. So they set it up for me. I moved it a little when I got home and sat in it for a while. Actually, took a nap. It is nice but it is in a different place than I am used to sitting. So it means moving my laptop and other papers that I have next to me on a love seat. I do like the way the room looks so maybe I will just let it go. I only HAVE to use the chair after the surgery to keep my legs up. The therapist gave me about 6 exercises to do at home. I told him I had access to a fitness center so he has given me two to do on the equipment, the bike and leg press (no weights, just movement). So I will be going to the fitness center pretty regularly until surgery. I will see him again post surgery when the home PT person releases me. I also did some finances last night. I had charged the chair and the money for it was in the savings account. So I paid the bill before it came. I have one more check to write today for church and I think I am done for the month's finances. I have some cleaning to do today, as always. It is never done.
Have a good one.

Sue, you posted while I was typing. I am so sorry about your sister. My brother never told us when he had a stroke. We didn't know about it until several years later. I don't know why they do that. Does your sister have any children that can help her? She will have a lot of care in a hospice facility. Take care of yourself too. You have a lot on your own plate with your HB.

Don't recall posting yesterday. I was busy socializing. Four different campground friends were here are various times. Made for a nice day but real unusual. Then last night we went out for a fish fry with one of the couples.
So sorry to hear about your DS, Sue. It's hard to lose a sibling, especially a younger one. I was the youngest, of 8, in my family & I have lost 5 siblings. I don't feel good about possibly being the only one left some day. Neither my DB or DS are real well.
It's an overcast day & not too warm - really quite comfortable & a nice change. I had a short walk this morning but need to go again. I'm feeling much better & sleeping very good since I started walking.
No other news. Have good weekend...
