Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from WWs, had a gain, and is recommitting to the program. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. We love to use first names here, so tell us yours when you post.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes it is harder to keep it off and even if we fail, we keep trying, which is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, I count on talking to you guys each day and I am blessed to count you as friends! We welcome old and new friends, please come and join us.

Good morning ladies.
I am tired today. It is really, really cold here too.
Other than work not a whole lot going on with me. My eating is ok - not great. I haven't been tracking but the good news is my weight has been pretty stable. I am not loosing but I haven't been gaining. I have been within the same 2 lbs since I got back from my cruise. I am still not exercising which is probably contributing to my laziness.
Next week is busy with work stuff and after work obligations so right now my plan is do the best I can for the next week. I am going to try to NOT beat myself up about it and recommit AGAIN on 12/26/2016 to exercising. After the first of the year I need to sit down and work on budgeting my $ so I can go back to the personal trainer.

Good Morning ROs...the dinner last night was great. DH called me home earlier than planned since he had to get to the toilet. It worked out fine because I would have just drank more and eaten more if I had stayed longer - ha. Off to the gym this AM, then to DH's office luncheon party (he will really enjoy that), the to PT (and we WILL get there on time today). This c-o-l-d weather makes it really tough transferring in and out of cars!
Jana - I need to recommit to eating well the way you need to recommit to exercising. I am holding my own (barely), but I need to REALLY be strict today so I don't have to pay at WI tomorrow! A couple of good days will also help me to get back on track. DH has gained about 6 lbs since coming home so we are both recommitting to cautious eating.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning - I missed getting here yesterday. Short work day for me - leaving around noon - just trying to get a couple things done this morning and then I need to load up the presents into my car and pack a bag for the weekend.
I will be back posting hopefully on Tuesday. Have a good weekend!

Just popping in to say hello. Other than DH having his shoulder surgery, I have various other things going on.

Hi Everyone, We had our holiday party at the other center. It was ok. Pretty crowded and nowhere to sit when we got there but then I did get to sit down after a few. Probably if I had moved up to the front tables I would have found someplace to eat but I wouldn't have been sitting with people I really knew. Then we left and I was home early after dropping my friend. The weather is going to be iffy this weekend. It starts as a bit of snow and then icy conditions. I'd like to get to the gym and have to finish my lesson plan. Its almost done but I know there may be a few things that I may not have totally finished. We are having a federal review on Monday and although I don't really think they will look at the plan so much I want to make sure that it is done. I am satisfied with our education files as I have really been working on them making sure they are current and up to date. That is what I think they will focus more on and I feel ready for that. I don't really think my friend will want to do her event this weekend with the weather forecast so don't really have plans so much. Have a great night .

What a nice day we had. DH was so happy to get to his office party and everyone was so happy to see him. I didn't get to the gym, but I did exercise with a show I had taped. PT was awesome...it was an evaluation day for DH and they were very pleased with all that he has accomplished in the last few weeks. He pulled himself up onto a walker with on a 50% assist from one person and that was exciting.
Janet - I think you are right... I think they will just be concerned with the files. Have a great weekend.
They are calling for "mixed precipitation" here tonight, but turning to rain by morning. It was sooooo cold today...just felt bitter to me. Tomorrow it is supposed to be better and Sunday it is supposed to be 65 before turning really cold again. Hope everyone has a good evening.

Susie, so glad that your DH got to his holiday party. Is there any chance that he could go back to work? I have no idea what he does, so not sure if he could adapt.
Jana, sometimes those work obligation can really get in the way.
Amanda, when do the students come back? Good for you that you must have a lot less to do for a few weeks. How did your book come out?
Janet, as much fun as we can sometimes have at work holiday parties, the seating arrangements are always hard. I am sure you are having similar weather to us predicted for the weekend.
It was cold here today, but I did both normal walks with the dog, but worked from home for the day. Morning dog walk is .6 miles, and it was only 16 degrees. Afternoon walk, which because I was home he wanted to do at 3:00, is 3/4 mile, but it had warmed up to 26. Tomorrow morning will be bad. It is supposed to start snowing during the night, and turn to rain by around 9. If it turns earlier, it could be really icy out. I have to pull out my good boots. Not much on the agenda for tomorrow as DH recuperates. Sunday I am supposed to meet my DS's fiance and her mother at a bridal salon near here.

Robin - we think he may be able to return to work. I hope he can, although he was planning on retiring in 3 years anyway. He may not be able to drive for quite awhile, so he would have to carpool, or I would have to drive him, or we talked about the possibility of him working from home for awhile when he is first allowed to work. His boss and his boss' boss were both there today and are very supportive! He works at SunTrust bank in the mortgage dept (backroom operations). Everyone there has been so great and he misses his co-workers. I hope he can return for awhile at least before he retires. You are amazing taking that walk in 16 degrees!

Good evening all. I still don't have a pic to upload here - the one I was using is out of date and I tried to take a couple of selfies this evening and they're all dreadful. I love Susie's and Amanda's pix, wish I could get one of me I can tolerate.
So glad it's Friday. We had our annual all-staff meeting at West Point (Thayer Hotel) and it went fine although I was pretty much a nervous wreck for most of the day. I had to speak, and that was ok enough, I'm not a very charismatic speaker but I got to say a few words to my staff, and I had board members present - we don't generally do that but they wanted to meet our staff. Anyway, it's over and I'm glad it's the weekend. Really cold here as you all have mentioned. 12 degrees when I got up, in the 20's in the afternoon, and we're supposed to have 3-6 inches of snow overnight which will turn to rain mid-morning. I plan to go to my WW meeting and not WI, but at least be there and I hope the roads are passable.
I don't have plans this weekend except for the usual meal planning and prep, maybe a movie, and the gym doggone it. Reading.
Susie, glad DH is making such great progress. Managing a wheel chair and the various transfers in this freezing weather cannot be at all fun. Glad you got to PT though. Good luck at WI.
Jana, I hear you on trying to get back on track. At least your weight has been wonderfully stable during the difficult holiday time. That is a victory right there, isn't it? I'm the one with the 5 lb swings every other week. Giving me whiplash. I like the idea of the trainer so much. When I had one it was the only way I got to the gym regularly because I had paid for the sessions and knew the trainer was waiting for me. Just so expensive around here!
Janet, you sound all set for the review. Glad you enjoyed your party.
Robin, how's DH doing? Is he in a lot of pain? I've heard that shoulder surgery can be immensely painful... Did he have a rotator cuff injury? I must have missed the post where you told us about it. Good for you for getting out for two walks.
Have a good evening all and stay warm!
