Congratulations on the new car, Brenda! What'd you get?
15°, Debbie? Not my normal taste for Summer weather, but for a breather from the heat, it'll do. Enjoy Finland!
Rained all day yesterday, so I was short on step goal of 15k, but I did get creative and pulled over 13k. Six meetings on tap today.

I want to go to Chuck E Cheese!!
Okay. I don't. That's like Dante's 4th Circle of H*ll to a childless person. But, I don't want to be on this train either...

Good morning
Lou, thanks for the start. 6 meetings--yuck!
Debbie, have a wonderful time in Finland. Glad it is cooler for you both.
Vicki, I use to love Chuck E Cheese when my DS was young. Held his birthday parties there instead of having a bunch of boys running around my house...lol
Waving to Virginia and Lori
I bought a 2018 Ford Escape. It was not even on my list of cars I wanted to test drive. I really like it. Now for car payments ;-)
Met step goal yesterday. Raining here today.

Hi, Louis - thanks for the start. That is 15C so 59 F. I have not seen your Alaska photos yet, did I miss them? Great job on creative steps. Trains are fun why don't you want to be on the train? Vicki - so good to see you. I am so glad my Chuck E Cheese days are far behind. Have fun though I know AJ will make it special.
Today is mostly sunny and 19C. I am in heaven. It is so clean and pretty here. We went on a free walking tour this morning then had a very good lunch at the street market. I had white fish and Ted had moose meatballs and reindeer sausage. The Finns love berries and the markets are loaded right now. Debbie

Hello,
Thanks for starting us, Debbie. I did think about starting the drive home on Sunday and spending the night somewhere, but I was not really ready mentally for that. DGD #2 only got sick one time and was okay after that with no fever, so I headed over there in the afternoon to play with them. We had dinner together and I got to tell the kiddos good night until next time. I did the 900 ish mile drive all yesterday. Have a great time in Finland, maybe the summer heat will break by the time you get back to Spain.
Hi, Lou. I didn't make 10k steps yesterday due to the driving, but I'm okay with that. Six meetings today? Ugh. I will be back to the routine tomorrow. When I was doing calendar cleanup last week I don't recall that any day this week was too bad with meetings. Now that I've said that, I may find that I have jam-packed meeting days when I sign on tomorrow morning. LOL, Chuck E Cheese wasn't my idea of fun when my own kids were littles. I can tolerate it, though. Not sure if your train ride allows, but can you read on your commute? That would likely be my way to pass the time. That's my airport and plane go-to is a book, magazine or Kindle.
Hi, Vicki. I found Tapatalk to not be especially intuitive when I first downloaded it but I got it bookmarked on my iPad and on my phone, so it's quick to get to the Maintenance board now. Maybe Lou or I can step you through it. Enjoy Chuck E Cheese, we have a Gattitown and a Chuck E Cheese here. Gattitown has better food, in fact you can actually get a SP friendly meal from their food bar. When does AJ's school start? Our area started school on 8/10. FL schools in the area I was staying started last Friday (not sure what's up with starting on a Friday?!?) but they all got out of school for the summer before Memorial Day.
Hi, Brenda. Congrats on the new wheels! One of my current co-workers is on her second Escape, she liked the first one so much that she went back for another! A co-worker who recently retired bought one this spring and loves it. What color is yours? You know that is SO important. :-) LOL, I have surprised myself with some of my car choices. The next one may be a crossover or SUV, not sure. I like my current car and am not in a huge hurry for a new one.
I slept in today for the first time in I'm not sure how long. I didn't get up super early on some of my days in FL but I set an alarm every morning because I always had somewhere to be at a certain time. I've done WATP, a couple of loads of laundry and have put things away from my trip. I am going to go visit DS#2 today and then do my grocery shopping. I'm planning on an early tuck in tonight. I considered going out with the HM training group this evening but will do that on Thursday. I haven't been out with them yet for this training cycle. Since annual reviews are over my work life *should* be calmer for awhile. I miss the littles and their parents but it is good to be home. DH's peace and quiet is over for awhile, lol. But I think he is okay with that. Our high temp isn't even going to be 80 today and we are having showers off and on. The humidity is pretty high, so it definitely feels warm.
Waving hi to Lori, hope you are well.
Take care, Ginia

It's a commuter train, Debbie. Same scenery and people every day, so it's not quite as good as touring the countryside. KWIM?
900 miles straight through? You're a trooper, Virginia! Glad you got in some bonus time with the wee ones.
I like Fords because I'm used to their marshmallow-like steering. In Cecilia's car (a Mazda) a hiccup can make the car stray from its lane. Not so in my Fusion.
What color, Brenda?
There is a learning curve with Tapatalk, Vicki. But it's worth it. I actually pay for the app so there are no ads as well. If you get it to work out, it's worth the extra $ for the clean experience.
Final tally was 9 meetings and conference calls. I got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING done today that I wanted to.
