WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

Good morning. It was a good weekend, with some work and some relaxing. I didnโt track points on Saturday, but didnโt do too badly. Yesterday I ate 28 points, and ran 8 miles. It was pretty warm, and I was drenched by the end.
Nancy, I hope youโre having a wonderful time!
Lori, good idea to isolate tonight. Is it catered?
Jane, jeez, what a menu. I probably would have ordered ala carte, and just gotten some eggs and fruit. What did you end up getting? Have a great time with the babies!
Kathy, I saw your pics on Facebook and wondered if you were in the UP of Michigan. Iโve never been, but heard great things about it. DH went frequently when his family lived in MI. Good thinking to get right back on track with your points. Itโs scary how fast we can start to slide backwards.

Made healthy choices this morning and will track all today.
Hope all are doing well.

I selected the salad, with dressing on the side. I also had 1'2 a 4 large piece order of bacon. (I eat bacon virtually never, but I could not think of a better choice. I had cold brew coffee with whole milk. So, that was brunch. I ended the day with a bit over 1400 calories, and a bit fewer than 6000 steps. It could have been better and could have been a lot worse.
Today, has been fun with my grandchildren. I am already past 8000 steps. I am reasonably likely to come in at about

1300 calories.
Kathy, glad to see you back and back on track. Jan, it is really hot here too. I walked this morning and it was pretty uncomfortable. Lori, it is the start of a new school year!
Hope Nancy is having fun. Will see you all tomorrow.
