In fact, I've used many of them myself over the years! But more often than not, I talk back to my excusesโ and win. The next time a "but" gets in the way of your goals, change your thoughts to one of these NEW phrases to regain control and stay on track.
I want to lose weight, BUT it's so overwhelming. I want to lose weight, SO I'll take it one step at a time instead of overwhelming myself by changing every habit at once. I will also stop beating myself up for not doing everything perfectly all the time, and start celebrating the good choices I do make each day. I want to lose weight, BUT I don't have support from anyone in my life. I want to lose weight, SO I will remember that I'm doing it for ME and not for others. I will tell at least one person about my goals whom I can trust, and if I can't find support from friends and family, I will become active in Weightwatchers Community to make friends and get support from people who have similar goals!
QOTD: Any of these speak to you ? Is there one small thing you could change that would make a difference ? Are you active on WW Connect ? Besides this board, do you follow/post on any other boards or on the facebook group?

We lost internet and the phone lineโ๏ธ sometime last Wednesday and it was in the middle of a three day holiday - Eid al Adha - so the govt offices were closed and hubby didn't even put our name on the list till last Saturday when of course they were soon to close again. SOoooo...they finally came to fix things today and we are back online. It has been quiet few days in which I have been totally reliant on my phone to receive messages and interact with the world...my phone, though smart, is not smart enough to do all I do on the desktop computer with real internet. Hopefully I will be back online now till...well...the next time. I have done a LOT of reading! ๐ Now need to get all of the online things I could not do in the past almost week done before going to the first Wednesday gathering in about three weeks.
Sorry I have been missing...argh!
I had a solid week of being OP till last night but with the banked points did stay OP so...think I am okay still...
Is there one small thing you could change that would make a difference ? not a small one BUT could exercise... Are you active on WW Connect ? no Besides this board, do you follow/post on any other boards or on the facebook group? I do follow some here and am on some on Facebook. Here there is the 100 day challenge, mind body soul connection, Hot Beaches, No Excuses, How Many Minutes, Beck Review...maybe others. Also some on Pinterest and Tumblr and YouTube and other places
I have support from this group and others on proboards. I am not sure I am overwhelmed just not willing to do what it takes to lose the weight...even though I did just rack up a week OP and drop some weight.

It's exercise for me too. I am limited on what I can do but I can find ways too work around my limitations. I just need to do it. My main support are my daughters. My one daughter and I need to lose, my other daughter has lost her weight and is in maintenance mode. Also I am on here every day.
I am not a member of WW any more, but I loosely follow Simply Filling/Core, at least the concepts of it. I have learned what are the no count foods and mostly choose them and limit the other things that have points. I don't count the points but I do journal what I eat. I also try to practice eating only to satisfaction, with some success but not always. That is something I need to concentrate on.

I am still have WW connect, but for some unknown reason, I seldom check it out. I am on a couple of Facebook groups. I do enjoy No Finish Line Nation. I seldom post on there, but do enjoy seeing others.
I am planning on doing a big BUT tonight, I am planning on getting off my big BUTT & going to my WW meeting for the first time in months!

When I switched to SFT (after almost a year counting Momentum points), I pretty much got rid of all the snack-type things I'd been indulging in for the simple reason that they cost many more points than real food. I don't know that it was or wasn't all at one time, but certainly in close proximity. And I never wanted to lose weight for anyone other than myself: I didn't like carrying around the extra weight, and I REALLY didn't like having to buy larger clothes. I had been more than willing to go up one or two sizes from before menopause to after, but not more than that. It really had nothing to do with other people's opinions or views of me.

Any of these speak to you ? The phrase that caught my eye was "stop beating myself up for not doing everything perfectly". That applies in so many areas of life! Is there one small thing you could change that would make a difference ? Drink water instead of pop - one more time each day. I've swaped some, but can continue to increase the water, decrease the pop. Not sure it will impact weight, but it's a chance I'd like to make. Are you active on WW Connect ? no

Cathy, I think I'd have been a little crazy with only limited Internet access for that long (I admit, really pretty dependent on it!)

I need to lose 15 lbs, BUT, instead of focusing on that number, I am going to focus on making good choices and losing 1 or so pounds at a time. I am not sure how or why I got so over goal, BUT I know I can get back to goal.
Since I don't have e-tools, I don't have WW Connect, but haven't heard of many people in my meeting that use it. I do belong to a WW facebook page and a couple of other weight loss facebook groups. This is the group that I come to the most for support, encouragement and the occasional kick in the pants.
