This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good morning. DH and I are enjoying our coffee together. The kids are still sleeping, but the pup is up with Z. She's such a love.
We have a retirement party to attend later this afternoon for one of DH's DBros. We'll pick up DMIL and take her, so it will be an early exit for us, and that's okay.
So, whether you have a party or simply are happy it's Saturday, celebrate!

Indeed, I am happy it is Saturday! DD and I have movie plans for later, but in the meantime, I am enjoying my coffee and sloth.
Healing prayers for MCAT and Linda's family members. Enjoy your rejuventating family time, Nancy.
My Super Bowl menu for tomorrow is a really yummy CL chili recipe, and guacamole. DH's request. I just watch the commercials. Good grading time.
I need to do my menu planning shortly. One of my new recipes this past week was super; one was okay-- better as leftovers; the third was bad, just not worth repeating. When all else fails, I return to my sticky-paged, beaten up Cooking Light cookbook from about 20 years ago and make myself pick a new one I haven't done yet.
I've got red cabbage to use up. Ribolitta would be good on a cold day. Off I go to stew and plot what to tump in the pot.

Good Morning, Good Friends. And hello Nancy, in the midwest world. Snowysunny here in NY and in the teens. I am blissfully tucked in today, with sorting and purging to do, in anticipation of a move in approx 115 days. Yikes!! Panic and joy.
Your house sounds peaceful and cozy, day's plans sound nice, Nancy. My DH and DM are off on multi-errands today, back this afternoon. A DGF is coming for tea, on her way to a party. I will be continuing my efforts, Mick by my side. He had a good vet visit yesterday, weight holding steady. May he be well on the inside.
DH/DM took a large pile of donations to our Veteran's Outreach Ctr, that helped to clear up in here. I must continue to make more - it's never-ending. DM has been a great help to going through things and has done well w her own clothes, etc in her room here. She can't believe we'll be ready in time and I've asked her to stop saying that. Sometimes my nerves are jangling with her; sometimes we do great together.
MCat, I'm thinking of you and your DParents - glad for the positive news that has come down the pike so far - may it continue. It's not easy. Happy that you have your brother, and a supportive DH. Best thoughts and prayers for all.
Frieda, continued positive thoughts for you and the little ladies. Good to hear from you any time we do, and glad for a helping hand for the DDs3.
Linda, I'm sure you will be happy for the greater storage system for winter wear - I remember the days of multi-coats and gear for wee ones. Nice to hear you carving out time for Linda. Best thoughts and prayers for your DD.
DH's office will be in Cary (Susan - yes, we'll be drivable!!) and where we land will be in the vicinity, yet tbd. Planning a June move - just when it gets beautiful here
Must carry on with my duties for the day - need to feel accomplishment at the end of it. Waving to all my Sweet Kitties across the land.

Guten Tag, T! Saw that you snuck in on my typing time. Enjoy your slothfulness - by Saturday, it's earned. A movie sounds lovely. Review for us. Ta-ta for now.

My celebration for today was to stay the same at the scale this week.
Cancelled plans for getting together with DStis. Wasn't feeling good.
Groceries bought & put away. Finished laundry, just need to put away. Dishwasher/Bridget ran while I was at library.
Called and actually talked with DMom this morning. She didn't sleep well so had gone back to bed. DSis answered phone and took it her.
We will be staying home for the Stupor Bowl. We will watch but probably doing other things too. Planned for having nachos for dinner.
Wintery weather made a brief visit yesterday with another visit coming Sun pm/Mon am. Just in time for DH to head to work. We are so done with winter!
Waving HI & Sending HUGS to all~ martha

Hello CaTs! GJ Linda on your decision to rejoin. I know what you mean about those deals. It's nice to have space to keep them. Martha-sorry you weren't feeling good. I took a two hour nap today and tried to just rest since it's what I was needing. T what is your next vacation destination?
We moved 12 totes into the new camper. It went great. Plenty of space and storage. I'm going to like it. We made the bed and filled the cupboards. We ended up taking out the junk mattress that came in the sofa and we put in the new memory foam mattress that I bought on line. We've invited people to join us on Florida but as of moods nothing is firm.
My TX gf is not happy that I'm not coming to TX this year. She called earlier today and is really pressing. I just don't have that much vacation. Plus it costs to go on vacation all the time. I decided last year that I wanted more time in Florida so that's what I'm doing. 2.5 weeks. DH says we will golf and relax.
I made a light breakfast and then made pork chops for dinner. It's easy when you busy throw it in the oven with a little white wine, green peppers and potato.
Tomorrow I'm getting on the treadmill. No excuses.
Take care ladies and try to not overdue at your Superbowl parties.
