Hello! I am seriously considering joining WW for weight loss and healthy habits for myself. But ... I have a 16-year-old son who is underweight. Does anyone else have this situation? If so, how do you handle cooking for yourself and family members with opposite needs? Do you make separate meals? Thank you.

IMO I'd make the same meal, and maybe just larger portions for him. Welcome

I make small adjustments for each family member based on their needs. My daughter can’t have nuts, so on days we have pesto, I put a marinara sauce on her pasta (30 seconds in the microwave to heat and done!).
My youngest is underweight. Adding bulk (more food) to his meals wouldn’t work as he’s a light eater, so I add caloric side items....cashews, or more butter on his toast, etc.
I’d bet you already make small accommodations for him. Just expand on that.

Hi linda1 and welcome! You got great advice and what I have done all along throughout the years with my kids. WW is all about portion control so no need to fix separate meals, just adapt and adjust as needed. 😊 *Just wanted to add, make sure you head on over to the General Board to check out all the new exciting changes that are coming up for WW if you haven’t already.

welcome! your not eating diet food, just food, so it would be the same food for all, and maybe he could have snacks that you are restricting for yourself, bigger portions for sure, just because he's a male(!)
