Question of the Day!
What’s the worst and best thing about being female?

Finished my wreath today.. Maybe tomorrow I will post some pics on facebook and on my pinterest page.. I haven't hung it up yet, but it looks good laying on the table.
Well today Oct 2. is National Custodial worker day.. and Name your car day. do with it as you will....
About the QOTD .. hm.. what do I like about being a woman.. no need for me to even think about that one.. I like the fact that I was able to have seven children.. I gave birth to seven little miracles.. Nothing could top that.
What I don't like.. ? I think maybe it's that as of yet, equality between men and women still lean to the male side.. I do think it's changing, but still there is a gap. Lots of people think men lead better, they are smarter and should be consulted first in any situation. . Still lots to do.
On that note.. that's enough from me..
Jenny

Things are getting very worrisome here as Jeff sent Debbie a very disturbing text last night and it made no sense and was threatening so she thinks he was drunk as when she goes over there she sees lots of empty liquor bottles. But it worried her so much that she has decided it's best not to buy him out on the house as there's just too much he could do to it plus once they would move in if he showed up during the day when Maija's in school and Debbie's at work nobody would question him being there and he could go in the backyard and use a glass cutter to cut the patio door glass and get in the house and be waiting for them. So she's going to meet with her lawyer to see if she went ahead with buying a house would it be considered marital property or does she have to wait until after their court date of November 5th when she hopes the divorce is granted and then have another court date in December when the farm would have sold and he could be declared independently wealthy and alimony stop. He's not taking care of the house and not looking for a job. It's obvious from his text he is drinking and very paranoid. I'm very worried for her and Maija. He even said after not going to any swim meets he is going to the last one which is senior night and the parents walk with their daughters and Maija told him I don't want you there and he told her if he wants to he will be there. If he tries to be part of the senior procession it could turn ugly as Debbie said she will tell him to leave and Maija said she will as well and the Dads of the seniors know what he did and will tell him to leave as well. The one thing that could stop him is they charge admission this year and he never has cash but for him to even threaten to ruin her senior night truly shows his character.
AOTD: To me I agree having a new life growing in my body is the best thing. The worst was the periods each month, very painful and put me in bed for a day every month.

Good morning!
71º to 85º today here in Tulsa. Nice.
Today I did get up at a bit after 5:00, I've sent a message to my doctor about refilling a prescription, fixed breakfast, got dressed, and have a load of laundry in the washer. My cleaning lady will be here later this morning, and I have to clear the way for her to clean.
No huge plans for the day. Kid pick up has resumed, but that is it, I think. I think I will do a little more decluttering.
Best thing -- hmmm. Being a mother is wonderful, I agree. Worst thing -- suppressing my reaction to sexist comments! Grrrr! Like getting a lower grade in a grad class, because no woman should try for a doctorate! Grrrrrrrrr! Still makes me furious! And said "one on one" so no witness. Grrrrr!
Okay, better go meditate!
Be happy today! Diane

It's still dark out this morning. The weather forecast for the next ten days includes two days of rain followed by five of snow. There's no info about accumulation!
Today I'm going to my monthly caregivers group which is always beneficial and then the physical therapist.
Being Mom to two wonderful children has certainly been the highlight of being a woman. The generations of women in my family have kept getting stronger. For my daughters, there have been no limitations because they are female. Downside was probably job discrimination and hormones and having to be superwoman. The male world wasn't ready for changes that have taken place in my lifetime and still hasn't caught up.

85 for today with 60% chance of afternoon showers. So maybe I will get to see my new gutters at work. I hope to get a few yard things done when my chair lets go of me. Coffee finished.
Kinda got side tracked and forgot to get back and post.
QOTD: Like others have said the best part of being a woman is being a mother. Now they have given me grands and the grands are giving me greats. The worst part at this time in my life is not being able to do the things for myself that a man could do. I am strong but just not strong enough. If I were a man I would be camping more and I would not be as particular about where.
Cooked a large boneless chicken breast all night. Chopped it up this morning and gonna add veggies for chicken veggie soup. Probably have to have cornbread with it.
Have a great Tuesday all.

Hi Cat and Awesome Autumn Ladies,
9:24 and mostly cloudy here in Lakewood, Temps today to range from 55 (now, and feels like 56) to 77. Yesterday ran some errands, finished the birthday card for last night, just one more October birthday card and Halloween treat bags, then the November birthdays, and go back to working on my Christmas cards. Also need to weed through all of the junk mail and study the political information for the upcoming election next month. Last nights dinner was fun, the restaurant is noted for its fun atmosphere not not the food, the food was ok, and both myself and DDIL's DM were able to order off of the kids menu for less than $6. The price wasn't the issue but leftover Mexican food, ummmm fergetaboutit. Funny thing the only difference between the kids plate vs the regular looked like the size of the plate. Oh well, we were satisfied. They did have an all you can eat for $18, but no one opted for that.
My AOTD: like everyone else, being a mom. I love watching my kids develop and grow into awesome adults. I don't care for not being taken seriously, and I see this in my family with my mom. She would ask me a question, I answer, then she says she'll ask my son and maybe my brother, who end up giving her the same answer. Very frustrating not to mention annoying. Ok enough of that.
Jenny, can't wait to see your recent wreaths. You do such beautiful work.
Sandy, when is the Senior Swim meet? Did Maija say how the homecoming went? Bet she looked beautiful as always.
Diane, enjoy your down day, and thanks for reminding meet pick up my script.
Snowsaint aka Nancy(?), sounds like winter will be giving you a bit of a tease before Indian Summer comes by. Stay warm.
Lucy, the chicken sounds wonderful. You do cornbread like I do rice. Just about with every meal.
Doris, where are you? Hope you're ok and just off to a slow start.
Well that's 'bout it for now, off to find/do something productive; do need to call my son. Have a wonderful day will be back later to see what ya'll are up to, may or may not post.

Best as a women: falling in love a few times! Never worked out but nice at the time.
Worse as a women: not much status in the military! I think it is better these days.

Linda she had pictures on Facebook and did look beautiful as always 😉 She didn't say much about it but she spent the night at a friend's house with all her girlfriends as Sam didn't go since his sister got married Saturday so he had to be there since he gave her away plus was taking the pictures. Then Sunday morning he picked her up to go to breakfast with his family and she was gone all day and then Monday she was at school and then all the texts started so homecoming was not talked about. But she is excited to start house hunting with Debbie as she also said they need a clean break and fresh start. With this dark path Jeff is going down Maija is pretty much done with him but told Debbie she will go to one more counseling and see how it goes but has pretty much figured he will never change and she doesn't need that in her life. Senior night is October 13 in the afternoon so more senior afternoon instead of night.

I hope Doris is OK.
Well, the hedge trimmer is heavier than I remember the old one being. I can't be getting weak! I think I am going to have to ask my neighbor to put the handle on it. Grrrrrr! What is happening to me?
Talked to camping friend. We are at least talking about camping.
