If I go over my daily points it is subtracted from the weeklies. Across the top: Weekly Remaining - Daily Remaining - Daily Used Is this what you mean?

This morning I was up and out the door early for a blood draw for my annual physical in 2 wks. I did not have an appt. and thought it would take a long time, since it is Monday but I waited less than 10 min and was done in 15. I had planned for over an hour because I was going to play bunco with girlfriends at 10 in that area of town. It was fasting blood work, so I went to First Watch for a pumpkin pancake and then to Starbucks for an iced coffee. I took a book to read so it all worked out.
Sharon, I finally got the hang of the new app and think I will like it. To get myself off crackers and starchy snacks I tried apple slices with peanut butter, which gave me some protein and fat. For me it solved the problem.
Joanne, Hang in there. You are doing great. Since I have added 1/2 c. beans to my daily diet I have not wanted any other starchy foods and have not snacked after dinner in over 2 weeks. I rinse the beans & drain to prevent gas.
Vicki, Prayers for your dear friend Gail.
Gail, When you co-sign for a loan or card it makes you responsible if they do not pay. It's unfortunate that your DD is living beyond her means but you need to do what is best to protect your credit.
Geri, I am also one that can be satisfied with a bite or two of dessert or cookie. You don't taste much after the first couple of bites anyway.
Jane, I hope Hurricane Michael stays as fast moving so it leaves FL quickly. Currently, it looks like it will be going towards DD in SC.
QOTD: If you could live the life of another person for one day, who would you choose? AOTD: You did not say the person had to be living, so I think I would like to be Princess Diana on her wedding day, one of the most iconic moments in history, to me.

Karen, if your daily points are 23 (the minimum), you should get the blue dot if you use between 10 SP below and 5 SP above your daily SP allowance (13-28 using the 23 daily allowance). The above comes from your weeklies. Some of your unused weeklies (up to 4 each day) will be added to the weekly allowance if not used.
You can still lose weight if you don't get a blue dot. Let's say you save your weeklies for a wedding and you have all 28 of your weeklies PLUS 23 SP. That is NOT a blue dot day, but if by the end of the week you have not gone above your 23 and have used all 28 on one day, you are supposed to lose weight. Maybe not the day right after, though, as it has to go through your system.
Does that make sense to you?

Going back to my QOTD Sunday about the arts, I was listening to an On Point interview on NPR of Leonard Cohen's son on which they played some of his songs and poems. I am tremendously moved when I hear him. The beauty of his words and his timing and even his gravelly voice work together so well.

My app update has the weekly's to the left side of daily balance. But not sure blue dots are still in play as 2 days I had like 6 sp remaining and no blue dot appears. Blue dots have never been a thing for me as I count everything and most often track on paper. I will see what our leader Cindy has to say tomorrow. Another thing I do not have an IPhone. Mine is an Android smartphone. Not sure if that makes a difference.
Vicki will be adding your friend Gail to my prayer list.

You are right, Karen E. Blue dots are not so relevant. Just think...you could have like 5 SP for the whole day if you had eggs, low point toast, chicken or shrimp, a little sweet potato and veggies. Healthy meals but too few SPs. But some folks like to track just to get them.

Good evening all!
Todaywas fun! I drove my neighbor and I to the new MGM Casino, about 2 hrs away. It was a great spot, so clean and new and NO SMOKING! Before I left, I had a bowl of my minestrone soup and brought some walnuts, two prunes and two dried apricots. My neighbor was starving so she got a breakfast sandwich, huge, at the food court. I was very glad that I had eaten and the soup sustained me through the day. I played and played and didn't have a big loss. Parking was so convenient and surprisingly it wasn't that busy. Shocking for a holiday. Before heading home, I knew I needed to eat something. We each got a side Caesar Salad, very reasonable, not the best choice but the lesser of all the evils offered.
What I learned, buying my new car is that your interest rate is based on your credit rating and also your debt to income ratio! A mortgage or car payment can fluctuate greatly based on these variables.
Vicki, prayers for your DF Gail. Joanne, hang in, we all struggle, you're not alone! Jane, hope you're having a good day! Sandy, we had a cat and I am also a dog person. The DKs would be begging the cat to sit near them and somehow she always found her way to my lap. I thought it was because I fed her, but I learned that she wanted to win me over. Pets are so perceptive. Geri, how exciting that your new floor will be in soon! Ruth, those museums sound lovely. Soon I will be bringing DGD to my favorite Isabella Gardner Museum, Museum of Fine Arts and The Science Museum, all in Boston. Other than movies, I haven't been taking advantage of the arts since I'm so busy.
The first thing that came to mind, so I will share it, is that I would love to be a Montessori teacher. The philosophy fosters a love of learning and it is truly a wonder to observe the little people move around the classroom absorbing all of the activities. I've so enjoyed seeing my DGD learn everyday so I'm sure I will be volunteering in her Montessori class quite often. Better yet I would want to be Maria Montessori who developed a program for those with learning disabilities and found it to be so successful that she incorporated it for all students. She was the first female doctor in Italy. She was truly a pioneer in her day, campaigning vigorously on behalf of women's rights and speaking frequently on the need for greater opportunities for women.
I'm looking forward to a later wake up tomorrow. I have no appoointments until 3 pm when I pick up my little girls at school. Later I will go to see Phil Collins with my DD. Fun!

This getting old is the pits. I can't remember if I said something or only thought it. so if I am repeating--just know it is the fact I am 79 and forgetful!
Yesterday I looked up Silver sneakers to see if it still existed at the L A Fitness club which is next to Costco so about 6 miles from me and it does with the Silver Sneakers at 11 on Tues and thurs. So with my line dances classes ending in about 6 weeks I had thought I would try to get to SS again. So mentioned it to Don and he seems to feel I shouldn't go anywhere without him so he would go too. Getting him in the building over the equipment and the huge ropes that are across the floor would be a problem and he can only sit and do things so not much activity for him. I would never turn down his effort to do anything because I know how bad he feels. When he can hardly get himself pulled up off a chair in the kitchen and my worry and his worry of him falling it just doesn't seem worth the effort. So I will not try to get there this week. Well I wouldn't have anyway because the bug guy should be here tomorrow and I have to go to the library and Don's hearing aid is whistling so we have to go to Costco and I need something from Lowes so need to go there, too. Then on Thurs. he has a Dr. appointment and he has one next Tues. That makes a week from Thurs. before I could try SS again.
Bridge today--I could have fallen asleep during it. I did come in second but came home and sat down and slept for over an hour. The line dance class really tired me today.
Jeff called tonight because he heard about the hurricane and FL. and wanted to make sure we are OK. They are going to Myrtle Beach on Fri. and staying a week to celebrate their anniversary. Not going to be pleasant there with Michael causing a lot of rain. It will give us some rain but that is all. It just came as a surprise because everything seemed calm and all of a sudden it got strong. It should be 300 miles from us but closer to Ruth.
Everyone on here stays in my thoughts and prayers.
Tonight I am thinking of Don's GD and the fact she is having a baby and she has been in and out of rehab several times and even jail. This poor baby--don's first GGC and what a mess this all is. I guess someone will let us know but we will never know that whole truth. I have seen this GD once in the last 12 years She is the one who called him a year or so ago and wanted money and told him he didn't care anything about her. He loves his GC no matter what they are or do but I am glad we are not in PA where they live. That was the only time she has ever called. I am closer to all of you than I am to his whole family.
I need to go to bed. However--Gail--you take care of yourself and once again I will say you need to quit supporting that daughter and she needs to quit taking your money and making you feel so bad about it. Tough for you I know but you need to put your own needs and expenses first.
