WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C90D11, 19 points, 4 rollovers, 9 water, 1195 calories, 12,850 steps
3 times around mall with friend, Sansone tapes on utube, walk at home to my music, line dance workshop (not mine) at clubhouse.
Jan – I’m hoping against hope that the school gives Alex a second chance. It’s been my experience that when we go off plan for one day and right back thereafter, that the damage is minimal.
Jane – You ladies are lucky that when you go off program you remain nutritionally sound. That’s not the case for me. Maybe one day I’ll grow up, but not so far. I continue the on again off again mentality even though I am totally aware that is not the way it should go.
Kathy – Funny you should mention popcorn. Every evening at about 9 PM I have either FF plain Greek yogurt or ½ cup enlighted with a small treat. Tonight’s plan however replaces those with a 100 cal bag of Jollytime Popcorn with a tsp oil. I guess I just needed a change.
Lori – That’s exactly what I would have had at the party, but kudos for not going into search and destroy mode at home.

21+ APs yesterday with 6 non-Core points consumed. I’m feeling very down and defeated. Sorry, no personals today.

Jan, Sending (((HUGS))) hang in there my friend....
Nancy, you are so right regarding getting right back on track to keep damage minimal. I have a few challenges ahead and want to remain as strong as possible.. Yesterday was a really good day - but today, a birthday celebration in the office. Not feeling as strong as I would like - I haven't had anything - yet, I'm tossing the idea of taking a little something home for tonight. I don't want to feel deprived and I don't want it to set me off....
Hope everyone has a good day! Lori

This goes to show you it’s a man’s world. Dave had a pretty heated phone conversation with the principal this morning, and we went for a meeting at 2:00. Alex plays tonight. We did some research, and found many discrepancies among the school handbook, and certified letter, an email from coach, and what I was told verbally. We also confirmed that what they were requiring was a direct violation of HIPPA. We may be getting a civil rights attorney to look into all of this. What they tried to pull was discrimination, either race or because of our older son, or both.
But the good news is he’s back on the team!
