Not going to Bennington...arthritis and back trouble kicked in finally last night...not much sleep and walk like Charlie Chaplin, but rest before two flights tomorrow and not landing until midnight, probably good idea.
good dinner with nephews last night.
family dinner at DSIL , the younger tonight.

Came to check on Penny, the hurricane is predicted to land right near her and with her being on the water, she is hopefully heading back to Georgia today. She will get some storm up there, but not on the water and storms lessen in intensity as they cross over land.
Hope she can do a quick check in.

Hi - We're here still - loading up to evacuate about 30 miles north of here. The neighbor has 10 acres, fenced with a metal warehouse type thing with a concrete safe room. We're loading the cars and taking the motorcycles and some food. Then I'll pick up all the photo albums and put them up on a high bed, along with a few other things. Hopefully the water surge won't come in the house. It missed by an inch with Hurricane Opal.
We'll probably spend two nights there, but will check back in when I can or text Peggy Sue with a status. Still hoping it goes east of us at least a little. Right now it's supposed to be a direct hit. Phooey.....
Thanks for all the good thoughts/prayers. Please keep 'em coming!
Cheers....

Good morning all,
Cloudy again, high humidity everything is wet looking but no rain. They are saying the sun will peak out this afternoon. I sure hope so! Currently 69; the high will be 78.
Went for a manicure this morning and made my appointment for a mani/pedi for Aruba in 3 weeks. Have a 2pm allergist appointment for my monthly shots and then off to the bowling alley to see my boys bowl.
So glad we heard from Penny; sure hope they will all be safe! These hurricanes are no fun as we on the east coast know all to well.
Have a great day!

Penny- prayers are with you that all will be ok.
Lin- so sorry your back hurts. Hope it gets better as the day progresses.
Yesterday did get caught up on housework. Now back to the daily projects. So much easier when kept up and daily project does not usually take longer than half an hour.
Today is my hair appointment for cut and dye. Love going. When I get home hubby and I are going to check clothes dryer vent to make sure it's clear. Don't want a fire. It's been years since checked. Air is blowing out the vent so it cannot be super bad but need to check it. Hard to get dryer pulled forward due to tight area.

Morning All!
Penny wishing you well, my friend. Stay safe in your bunker and don’t go out to see what’s going on. Have Charlie and your neighbor’s pig made friends yet? I think that part of your story is quite funny. I guess if they don’t get along, it wouldn’t be funny one bit.
Lin, hoping you feel better today and are able to travel. Are you on your way back home, or traveling to some other part of NY? Either way take care.
I made a vet appointment for Lily for this afternoon. She made another frenetic run in the back yard on Sunday after a squirrel and has been limping ever since. I don’t know if she reinjured whatever she did 2 weeks ago or if this is going to be a chronic thing. Telling Lily not to run after squirrels, rabbits and birds is like telling her not to breathe. Keeping her quiet is also a bit difficult. We’ll see what the vet says. Her regular vet is away at a conference, so we are seeing a new one. I’m always nervous when that happens. Trust doesn’t come easy when it has anything to do with my baby.
Peggy Sue, glad you’re back. Missed you. Hope you had a good time with company.
Phyl have a good time at Sit and Sew. Do you each bring whatever you’re working on, or do you work on a common project while there? My Moms group would alternate – sometimes their own project, sometimes a group thing.
Emily have a good time with the boys today.
Everyone enjoy their day. I will keep good thoughts and prayers for those in the path of Michael.
Dayle

Hi friends. Penny, stay safe. So glad you have a place to go.
Phyl, I did see that picture, cute. Lin, hope your back is feeling better.
Just finished making chicken soup. I'll take some to DD later. They've been so busy putting a back splash above their counter. Thought homemade soup would taste good for their supper and ours too. Raining again today. YUCK
Got a call from fraud protection this morning. My bank card had been used in Dearborn Michigan. Haven't been there so my card has now been blocked and my bank will be sending me a new one. Lady at the bank said mine was the second one today that had been used by the same person. Frustrating for sure but glad they're able to catch things before we lose money.
Ozzie and I didn't get a very long walk so now that the soup is done guess we'll go again. Suppose to rain really hard later. Need to get him a raincoat.😊

Penny so glad you are evacuating. flooding is such a fear of mine.
glad you are back PeggySue you are always missed. I forgot my Reading thread until this morning. AHA becoming a Great Grandma does strange things to your mind, and I am sticking with that story. Going to see how she is adjusting to home later this afternoon. talked to my DGD and she said they don't need anything right now all is good with them. I do want to find out what brand diapers she is using. Will try to help out with sales on them, coupons or just a package now and then. She is doing well with nursing and hope that continues. She is such a relaxed person I am sure it will.
We are 85° so far today. guess things are drying out a bit from all the rain and temps are to drop 50° in next day or so. Wow that will be a big change.
Phyl I loved that picture also, and there have been some really neat pictures on our Awesome Autumn thread.
Well better get my bed made. i am getting so bad at that. Do you make your bed soon as you get up. My did always and she would be pretty upset with me lately. Some days I don't make it at all, sorry MOM I know you taught me better.!!
