Ruth we are not huge fans of Aldi’s in regard to meat and especially fish as they tend to be from Asia. But the produce seems to be good. You just have to be choosy. And of course there are some brands I just have to have. I understand Aldi’s is a Trader Joe’s store. I don’t see the comparison though.
We ate dinner early. It was good. The smoke alarm went off as the broiler was on. 😆
My Joel Fuhrman Book came in the mail today. I had a little left on my amazon gift card so I decIded to see what he has to say. I got “Eat To Live” but I know he has many books.
I’ve come to the conclusion sugar is bad. For all “diets”.
Joanne I think you gave your sis good advice to continue job hunting.

Another gloomy Misty day. So no outside work done. My friend that just had the breast cancer surgery called and wanted to do a Cancer walk today after they moved it into the Mall. She also needed to find some sensitive skin tape for the pads she has to use for the drain tube drainage. When she got here her car told her she had a low tire do I drove her to the stores her wanted to go to. DH checked the pressure and added air for her when we got back from town. Told her to keep an eye on it as she will be driving to Iowa City for appointments and treatments.
We only walked about 1 1\2 mile or so. She is doing real well but I feel a little depressed although I did not coment on that.
Have decided to take my old sets of wedding rings and have the diamonds set in to a necklace for two DGD's so have spent some time getting them out of the trunk. One was there but other was not. Do have them ready to go. May have a problem as one has about 6 small diamonds, the other only has one.
Sandy you could have your Dr. set you a higher goal. Only if you would be comfortable with that goal. We all need something to work toward. My take on the new idea of WW is that I likely will always think of it as Weight Watchers. I can deal with their concept, but I basically drive to the meetings to step on the scale. That is accountability for me. Good luck with your decision.
Prayers for all those people in Michael's path of destruction. My oh my, how does this just keep happening. I do not like tornadoes but their swath is minor in comparison.
Karen get that packing done, you have a plane to catch. Vicki enjoy your company and the shopping. Sharon, Aldi's tend to carry a lot of foods that work well with WW according to members at our meetings. I don't get there often as closest one is Ottumwa. Gail with all you do with a full leg cast the knee replacement surgery should be a breeze. Jane, pray Don comes through all his appointments and procedures feeling better. Take care everyone.

The Channel 13 News Des Moines said they had 2 tenths inch of snow this morning. The sports guy said that was the first he had heard that. We had none but friend said it snowed at her house. OH NO

My last day with grands. We went to my friend who owns the rescue and met her goats and a baby pig. The kids loved it. Quick bathroom stop and off to meet my son got lunch and give him his children. Hot home about 1;30. Changed my bedding, dust ruffle and put on new comforter for colder weather. Near 70 today bit nights are 50s near 40s. I will open the window and snuggle down.
Tomorrow make a new pattern for child cobbler apron, work and begin setup for craft bazaar. I'm exhausted.
Sharon I have no carpeting in my house. 13 years ago changed carpets for pergo. So much easier with pets.
