WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C90D15, 16 points, 4 rollovers, 8 water, 1195 calories, 11,006 steps
Circled community with friend and again later by myself plus some other minor walking – did some line dances at home to hit my 10,000.
Another good week. Under 1200 every day, at least 10,000 steps every day, under 23 points every day, 24 unused rollovers, 21 unused weeklies… of course there was the small piece of birthday cake but I hope to have pretty much offset it by eliminating my evening snack at home.
Jan – I’m so happy for Alex. I just hope he stays on the straight and narrow for the rest of the season. How long til the playoffs?
Lori – Glad we were able to help and especially glad that you’re planning to check in while on vacation. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!
Kathy where are you???
Jane – happy travels.
Edesia? Meg? Louise? Cindy? Who am I forgetting?

Good morning. I stayed on plan until yesterday evening, then snacking derailed me. Back at it today, I promise.
Lori, have a wonderful trip. It seems like you were just planning it.
Jane, I’m sure you’re still fighting through the jet lag.
Kathy, I hope your week was calm and peaceful.
Nancy, playoffs start next Saturday. Re: staying on the straight and narrrow; from your lips to God’s ears. I’m sure there was no harm done with the cake.

C39. D1. RESET. Decided to start the count over due to untracked and large quantities of sugar/candy.
We're visiting DD for her college's Family Weekend. I will track everything as my first step to getting back on track.
Sorry I don't have time for personals right now.
Hope you all have a wonderful day,
Kathy

Hi from Sedona!!
It been a long travel day but finally arrived at our resort. Our condo is absolutely beautiful with a breathtaking view! It was raining for a while but starting to clear up now.
Reporting that I did very well this morning. We left the house at 3:00 am, around 5:30 DH ordered a breakfast sandwich and I ordered black coffee. His sandwich, oddly, came with a side salad - so I did eat that - it had a little dressing on it. On the plane, I had my 3 pt cheese sandwich (past on the airplane crackers). On the 2hr drive to the resort we stopped at a cafe. I had a veggie omlette and the crust of multi grain toast. We also stopped at a supermarket. I picked up snap peas, hard boiled eggs, and fruit for snacks in the room. Feeling strong!!
Hi to everyone! Lori
Between getting up so early and the 3hr time change we are beat, so we’ll just explore the resort and go for dinner later and call it a day.
