Good morning all,
Thanks for starting us off Phyl. I probably won't be online for two days. It's going to be 59* today with rain tonight and tomorrow. I did order a wedge pillow last night and it will come on Wednesday, after I am home again. I tried to sleep in the bed again last night on my back. And I was up really often to go to the bathroom. I wasn't in pain if I stayed on my back but I wasn't sleeping either. I came out to the recliner around 3:30am and then slept for three hours. Hopefully the wedge pillow will help with both legs when I get home. I don't know if Ed is going to church this morning or not. I am not going. So he mentioned that he might stay home. But he just came out from the other room and he is dressed to go. I have to pack my suitcase yet and so does he. We will be heading to the hotel this afternoon and spend the night there. We have to be at the hospital at 9:00am, surgery at 11:00 tomorrow. My DD Carrie will be meeting us at the hotel. And she will stay here for the week. Not much else going on today.
Have a good one.

Becki, my thoughts are with you. I hope your second surgery goes as well as the first. I have a wedge pillow and used it when I had my foot surgery in May.
Phyl, I don't have my lift table yet. Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. My mind is about three months ahead of taking action on anything! Right now the PT and chiropractor are working on getting my back and shoulder better mobilized. I've discovered several things in the last few weeks. It's not the shoulder I fell on a few years ago but the other one that's "frozen." It's only partial, so there's hope. I'm getting an over the door pulls. With that I'll be able to use my other arm to left the left shoulder. I can do many things if I can keep my elbows tucked into my sides, so I have exercises to work on strengthening appropriate muscle groups to increase motion.
We had close to eight inches of snow yesterday. Today is cold, around freezing, but the next week is going to be sunny in the high fifties. This is going to be a good fall soaking for the plants and trees!

Becki, I pray for you as you prepare for and have surgery tomorrow. Your body is having a double whammy with the surgeries so close together. I hope you continue to get help at home. You’re lucky to have a Dd who can stay with you for a while.
As I said on the LTM thread earlier, my car battery was dead this morning when I tried to go to church. I called AAA and they came to my rescue. At least my car was in the heated garage, and not out stranded somewhere. With a little charging, it started. Everything else was okay so he determined that I must have left a door open a little and a light ran the battery down. I don’t know what I did, but it is running well now. I had my DGD with me last Friday when we came home from knitting. It must have happened then because I haven’t driven the car since then. I’ll just have to be more careful.
We got our first snowfall this morning when all of the above was happening. It has all disappeared now, and I hope it stays away for a bit longer. We’re suppose to be in the 60’s in a few days.
