DH is listening to the Weather Channel before heading out to go hoping, that is hunting, soon. We have a forecast of rain generating icy conditions. Please be careful all who face unsettled weather.

At the DGS's birthday supper Tuesday, DGD was discussing how he'd better come home with a deer soon --- gonna be the most expensive meat she ever ate. He has now bought hunting license for Ms and Al this year. The hunt to Ms takes place in January. We shall see.
Hope DH brings home the meat!

Bee j- wishing your DGS the best of luck! Hope that he took the ribbing in a good natured way. That's doubling down is opportunities and fun! DH's boss use to say that about our Canadian fishing trips. But watching eagles soar as you fish and catch walleye-- priceless. DH harvested one deer w/ his cross bow earlier this season. I look at it this way-- most hobbies cost money and/or time; this is one that yields meat for the freezer. Now that we have a small freezer, a second deer would be very nice!

Good morning June, Bee and AWF. We are having 'weather' in the double digits today. It's snowing and I just heard that we may have the dreaded 'wintry mix'. If that's the case, then I'll stay put today.
Bee your plan for today is wonderful. I shall follow in your lead. I ate one too many servings of crackers/cheese last night. I tracked them and moved on. Today I'll be wearing the 'sodium bloat'.
June great you have your day preplanned. My laundry was done yesterday. Today I'll vacuum and polish furniture. The housework that I used to be able to accomplish in one day now takes me three. I'm good with that, as at least I am still able to do it!
Waving to AWF. Have a great healthy eating day.
To those in frigid with snow and ice, stay safe and warm.
I'm very grateful for the roof over my head and plenty of heat. Also grateful that our new humidifier arrived yesterday. My sinuses are very happy!

Ann- I figured that at least you, Mj, Susi, Naomi, Tammary, and me were all facing the same "wintry mix" prediction for the first half of the day. Staying inside if you don't need to venture out is smart. I figure that the safety forces do not need another vehicle & driver on the road when I have no particular reason to be out and about. Being accountable is what matters most when you have a close encounter w/ cheese and crackers! Yesterday, mine was unanticipated pizza b/c of company who like to go w/ the flow. Tracked and moved on. Ha ha ha... my laundry will be a three day job because I am waiting on enough dirty clothes to make loads. This morning it was DH's work clothes. Oh what an exciting life I am living!

Bee – Just reading that made me smile. Please send me venison! I absolutely love it, it’s virtually points free but I can’t get it around here because none of my friends hunt. June – Good for you! Ann – We are currently having the dreaded mix. I walked Charlie in the sleet. Once it changes over, it won’t be too bad. Need to get a plan for today. I was hoping it was allergies but it’s a full blown cold and I am not a happy camper at the moment. Lots of water and some plain old veggie broth (I have one that is only 140 mg sodium per cup!). I have a charred Caesar salad (light Caesar dressing) on the menu but need more than that. I’m just not interested at the moment. What I am excited about is DGF is going to a convention in Las Vegas in February and would like me to join her. I wouldn't go to the convention part but I can do other things during the day.

Good Morning!
Day one of my much needed two week vacation begins! My first day will be spent piddling around the homestead doing chores, etc. DH and I have a Christmas party to attend later with friends. We will be doing a Chinese gift exchange. There is always a good mix of gag gifts and the gifts everyone wants to snag. It is always fun and a lot of laughs. The hostess is smoking a turkey and I know fresh roasted veggies will be brought by another guest. I plan on taking fresh fruit and a venison sausage dip.
June, Good Luck to your DH on his hunting trip. Mine left early this morning, too! Luckily his little hunting spot is not far from home.
Bee, LOVE your attitude today! I am going to follow your lead like Ann is doing:)
Ann, so glad to have read that your dr appts have gone well. Continued prayers to you and your DH.
Yes, everyone dealing with the snow, ice, etc please be careful and stay warm. It has been very cold here is SC the last couple of days but they are calling for 70 tomorrow??? what is up with that?? LOL
CBL:)

Susi, sorry to hear about your cold! I was at a friends house last night and we stood outside around a fire and all night long my eyes were running water, nose, too. I just got up and took a claritin. Hope that fixes it. Oh wow! Las Vegas sounds fabulous!

Audrey – Rather interesting doctor’s appointment! Good luck with your testing. My treat is decaf coffee, light Swiss Miss and skim milk. I have it every morning. My cats are indoor/outdoor cats and in extreme weather do not stay out long. This year I bought Charlie a coat as he is older, thinner and short haired and he seems to do well with it. Again, my sister and I just shorten the walks in extreme weather. MJ – Cuddling is as important as laundry and errands. Glad you had a nice day of it. I’m not venturing out until this all melts away. LaDonna - I'm about to take a Benedryl. I hear you. Yesterday was 17 and tomorrow is supposed to be 60. It's nuts! I'm really hoping LV works out.
