Good Morning. Ive been up since 3:15, crazy tickle in my throat that started a coughing jag every time I put my head back down on the pillows. i have a facial this morning & I hope I don't cough thru that whole thing. Other than that, a quiet day. A note to Mike re gluten/wheat sensitivity:
" The consequences of this systemic inflammation are most of the diseases and conditions associated with the Western lifestyle:
Gastrointestinal disorders Obesity Diabetes Heart Disease Depression Autism Infertility Cancer Multiple Sclerosis Alzheimerโs disease And the list goes on and on and on โฆ" Mike, wish I had the URL but the way I saved it in Facebook, I,lost it.

I love Wackadoo Wednesday sullicat1 ! We are having wacky weather, rain and extremely high winds last night, cloudy and almost 80 today. Along the story of glutens, it is amazing how many children are allergic peanut butter! Maybe the same reasons? Have another booster club meeting at the place I had the dirty south burger. All their food is excellent. It's the first place I had avocado fries. So, it will be a light eating day to save room for their Cuban Sandwich which I saw on the menu last week! Have a Wackadoo Wednesday!

Sullicat- start taking zinc and vitamin c. I'm not sure where you live, but here in central PA we are bombarded with multiple bugs. We have the stomach bug, actual flu, chest cold that turns into bronchitis fast, that often turns into pneumonia. There is also strep throat. People are getting one or a combination of these and sometimes after they are done with one, another hits them. It's really nasty.
DH started with a cough and scratchy throat so we both started on the zinc and vitamin C. Feeling better now. I had the stomach but and it knocked me flat!
I hope you feel better

Thanks Heather. Everyone around me had the stomach bug except me but I think this throat thing is the dryness in the house. I really need a humidifier. Being on O2 @ night doesn't help either ๐

Pat, we have the same weather forecast although not quite as warm today. Hope you don't get that migraine. I used to get them a lot,& it was often 1 or 2 days down for,the count. Take care.

Good morning everyone
Missed you all yesterday - I took a sick day suffering with this head cold, also lost my voice
Part of the reason was the screaming during superbowl with an already scratchy sore throat.
Back to work today
Hope everyone feels better and has a great day

Good morning, All...sorry so many are under the weather. So far, so good with us, which is actually kindof amazing for J.
Heading to MGH in a bit and looking forward to us all meeting afterwards in Cambridge for lunch!
I have a doctors appt tomorrow (45 min drive) and unless the forecast changes quickly, I guess I need to cancel.
Have a good one1

Happy wackadoodle Wednesday for sure! It was 60 here yesterday (yes, I wore flip flops) and today it's 30 and we are supposed to get 2-4 inches of snow! Gosh I love living in the midwest! I should get the fall schedule of classes today, so that will keep me busy here at work. It's a huge part of my job to get it in the system and there is always something screwy with it! Oh well, I guess that's why I get paid "the big bucks!" LOL I hope you all have a GREAT day!!

It's wacky here too. Last night it was -24, right now -21, today's high -1. Tonight still below zero, tomorrow's high 25, Friday's high 40. That's a pretty drastic change. Like the saying goes, if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. I'd like to do some snow shoveling in front of my shop door so I can get my pickup in, but I'll wait until tomorrow or Friday. My neighbor came yesterday and cleared my drive and yard of the snow we got on Monday and Monday night. It was close to 5 inches. Between him clearing the yard and my son shoveling the walk and in front of the garage, I'm set to go. If I want to. Today I'm going to order my garden/flower seeds. In March I'll be starting some of the flowers in the house. I'm going to try a lot more container and raised bed gardening this year. I'll probably do some in the garden too, things that the rabbits don't like much.

Wacky for sure. We hit 70 yesterday with more warm today and snow on the way for morning. A guy who writes folksy articles in our paper said to forget the groundhog and pay attention to pole cats...his country word for skunks. This morning one of those fragrant fellows had been somewhere near the post office.
Itching dropped from a 10 to about a 7 today. Maybe wishful thinking. Bad timing for switching to meeting with the meds so I will do my Thursday WI at home tomorrow. Already feeling and seeing the puff. Sigh...I am not always patient.

Good morning all.
Sulli, my day is similar to yours. Woke up coughing last night and have a facial this afternoon. I just drank some warm water with honey, vinegar and cayenne. That usually helps knock things out. There sure are a lot of colds, flu, and viruses going around. One of my coworkers was trying to get Tamiflu for her kid and it was sold out at all the pharmacies. She and her kid both got flu shots but I guess they weren't that effective this year.
Also woke up to ice and tons of accidents. They weren't predicting ice and didn't treat the roads. It's supposed to hit 50 today before a blizzard tomorrow. Wacky indeed! I have to go to the grocery store later and hope it's not a total zoo.
Hope everyone has a good day and hope everyone under the weather feels better soon.

I'll probably do some in the garden too, things that the rabbits don't like much. That's a great thing to do on a cold snowy day. Gives you hope for spring! When I had a bigger garden, I used to love looking through seed catalogs. The pictures and descriptions alone were so beautiful.
