I was so over the pie plate thing years ago. I really was happy that "WW" addressed mindful eating and not that stupid pie plate. Which I ended up throwing away and eating myself into oblivion anyway.

Ah, memories. Walking around a table set with "food," all that food marked with points values. Wow I can actually eat a LOT of plain steamed green beans---who'da thunk it?
And the recipe handouts. Yep, PUMPKIN FLUFF. I made it and frankly, I thought it was disgusting. Tasted like raw pumpkin and instant pudding mix and raw spices and whipped topping chemicals to me---gee I wonder why? I had such high hopes but no...that slop went straight into the trash.
I have said it before and I will say it again: If I can make it to January 2nd and not gain 10-15 pounds I will consider it a major victory. Just to hang at or about where I am now will be fine. A loss of any amount will be greatly appreciated, of course, and somewhat of a Christmas miracle.

I hated that meeting. I understood the point but it just annoyed me after the first couple years.

I did not mind the annual exercise. There were always members who were new enough that they'd never done it. But WW has moved on. Younger members can't handle the words "no" or "deprivation," so they shall not be uttered. Better to have a follow-on topic like this week's that pretty much is about recovering from disaster...with the topic on the front and a recipe for PIZZA on the back. Who thinks this stuff up?

I was wondering if our new coach would have to deal with the plate. I’m glad to know she won’t.
