Good Morning everyone! I know everyone is busy pulling guts out of turkeys about now but I just wanted to get us going. Lurkers jump on in and say hi! Slow days are the best day to test the waters. 😊
Just a reminder there are only 3 bites that matter, the first, second and last. You can always put more on the plate but most of us are from a “clean your plate there are starving children in _____” generation, so go lightly at first.
Hope you all have a memorable day. Be safe on the roads if you are traveling! 🦃☕️😊

I totally forgot to do the “my Christmas shopping is almost done” strut! So mom finds a Christmas tree she *absolutely has to have no talking her out of a 7.5’ x 4’, not the skinny one but the full to the point of ridiculous monstrosity that most sane people at 79 realize they really don’t want to have to deal with all the decorations at this point* tree. Of course they didn’t have it anywhere local so this idiot drove 40 minutes to grab the absolute last one in the state of TX. 🤣 Slapped a bicycle bag and bow on it and warned her she is on her own with it. 🤣🤣🤣 Damn stubborn Irishman.
Luckily, did well with video games, movies, and odds and ends to help restock the house last night with Black Friday specials so I am just going to kick back and drink coffee for the next month. ☕️☕️

Good morning Deb and all who follow. To pile on the WW wisdom, devote 1/2 your plate to protein, 1/4 to non-starchy vegetables, and 1/4 to whole grains. (Leaders' lectures ringing in my ears!) Deb, you sure are organized. Was the tree you mention a live one or an artificial one? Either way it is huge! Today I am thankful that the rain clouds are breaking up and I can see blue sky between the clouds for the first time in weeks. I think the air has been washed free of pollutants enough that I've got the patio door open and am enjoying the 54° air entering the house. Mre rain is coming tonight starting about 6 PM. I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. [ DebDoesWW]

I'm not pulling anything out of a bird this morning and thanks for starting us up DebDoesWW .You had to be the one who had to brag about being through with Christmas shopping. I'm just jealous. We are eating out because my DH doesn't like any kind of bird.He better hope they have ham is all I have to say. zazzles What fun is there in non starchy vegetables?!? Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving to all my friends here.

zazzles an artificial one. It is beautiful but I said hey how about one we can keep decorated and carry through a doorway and leave put together instead of all the hoopla. Oy. Yay for blue skies and rain if it hit the needed areas!!!

borntexan, this year we are doing ours at my son's inlaws house. No one, except immediate family has done thanksgiving here, and my hubby doesn't do bird either. So we are doing turkey and ham.

reneinitaly I looked for a small turkey breast for me and a ham for him but couldn't find either so I told him what he wanted to hear in the first place. We are eating out.Our largest chain grocery store has been a zoo all week and I just didn't want to look any harder.I hope you enjoy the day with family. I am thankful every day too but even more thankful today because it's just my DH and I and at this time of year the reality really sets in with no living parents and no children unless I count Scooter and the two cats(the latter 2 being why I'm not doing a Christmas tree). They run around here like 2 wild banshees. I hope everyone enjoys the day with their families and friends and remember it's not about the food. It's about being with the people you love. That's the only diet tips I will give for the day as I have probably had my only healthy meal for the day. I'm also thankful for the reset button I will hit tomorrow plus the fact I won't have any leftovers.

Big white clouds and some blue sky. Enjoying Macy’s parade. Everyone looks very cold! Heading over shortly to mom’s. Cranberry salad and apple pie for dd ready to load in the car along with folding chairs. Have a great day everyone. A good day to be thankful.
