Good morning Deb and ATF Friends up the east coast - stay safe from the storm. My brother lives in Mass and texts me the updates. I told him to send me pretty pics so I can enjoy from Florida I love a good snow day at home but to be honest I don't miss that shit at all - especially the clean up I start my WW at work meetings today - I am excited to get back to it! Have a great Thursday

Good morning.
Tropical - not! Snow is so heavy I can barely see across the street. Think we're going to get more than predicted. It's beautiful, out there right now. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay beautiful. Doctors office just called to say they are closed, not that I was going to keep my appointment anyway. Hope I'm not too, late to prop open my storm door in case I need to get out in an emergency, lol. A few years ago I forgot & I was trapped inside trying to dig with a large spoon from inside just so,I could open the door βοΈ. This is a day for πΎπ·π·π·π·π·π·π·

We are getting steady snowfall (7:30 am) and 'white-out' conditions. Roads beginning to be covered. They say it will snow until 2 pm. All the schools around here are cancelled--mostly because getting the kids home would be a nightmare. Doubt if we'll get the higher amounts, though. It would be nice and pretty except that with snowstorm comes a headache...blah!!
Hope the grandkids enjoy playing in it this afternoon---I want it gone by morning! LOL

We already have more than the low amount they predicted & the wind has picked up so the snow is drifting. I'm just going to have to,keep, sweeping the front step because I think if I prop storm door open I'm going to get snow, over the threshold...yikes!! Somewhere in the world it's cocktail time! π

Stay safe and warm northern friends. We are on the fringe end of things here in VA and the temps dropped but we are having major wind with rain. Snow missed us and little even up toward DC. We may get some minor flurries later as the temp continues to drop but it looks doubtful.
Continuing to progress with healing with the meds. But as expected the dreaded pred. kept me awake for most of the night. Itching is down to about half with dry skin being more the culprit than the rash. Did not go to my WW meeting so depending on how I record it I either lost weight from the clothes weigh of last week or gained weight from the prednisone. I recorded my home weight so my tracker thinks it is a loss. I guess one of these weeks I will settle into something normal. Have to get through the prescribed time with this crazy stuff. I am so happy for even the slightest relief. Can't wait to get well and see an allergist to unravel this mystery.
Warm coffee or tea and a good book for all who need to hunker down today.

I have a few ideas but the allergist will have to confirm. Luckily I don't use many products that can be problematic. I am on the upswing...a slow upswing...but all good. Glad this is the end of my work week. I may fall asleep at work today..

thyme2 I hate to even mention it but you had your R&F party and also started talking about itching around the same time. Allergist will have you eliminate things, unfortunately he won't be able to confirm anything except the stuff they test for. Good luck!

Good morning, snow day for J so he is a happy camper. I canceled my doctor's appt and really hope to get some things checked off the list today...it doesn't suit me to feel so over-whelmed with stuff to do. However, a morning in bed with coffee is first on the agenda! J works such a brutal schedule, I'm really glad he gets a *break from potatoes* and will try not to fill his day with my choices for him! thyme2 I really hope you feel more relief soon; I am not a patient patient. I wasn't thrilled with my bloodwork reports yesterday, so must find the willingness to make some changes.

I'm IN.
So... it's snowing here in Woodbridge NJ (upstate from pbnj). It began sometime before dawn with the pitter-pat of sleet on the window and there's not a lot of accumulation so far. The township schools are closed. Toots has a delayed opening of NOON (usually it's "one hour") and will have to call back in for updates. The brunt of the storm is across the morning into early afternoon. We'll see.
I never did make it to the grocery <snicker>. We'll just have to make do with soup & sandwich lunches <bwaaahaaahaaa> and turkey breast, mashed potato, and vegetables for dinner. The aroma of turkey in the crock pot will be my "snow day good smell".
Must have bkfst (and PLENTY of coffee) and get started on the day. Have a healthy-eating one, all!

I have not been using the products at the moment. Maybe a food link from that time but again the doc will have to rule that at. Stress a likely factor from some other things going on. Probably one thing adding to the other. I am cautious about other things. I had used some products prior but no sign or visible rash in areas of use. My doctor got a kick out this mystery. Good thing she is so great!

Geez thyme2, that stinks that you've been dealing with that for so long. Glad to hear you've seen some improvement. Snowing here and we expect about a foot. I hate the timing of this storm because it's supposed to snow all day which means I'll have to shovel tonight so I can get out tomorrow morning. I never liked shoveling in the dark. I took a vacation day yesterday and today is a snow day so that makes for a nice short work week! Have a good day everyone, especially those of you in warm sunny places!

I never liked shoveling in the dark. When I was a kid and it snowed when my dad was on midnight shift, I'd be the one out there clearing off his car and the walk/driveway in the dark so he could go to work.
I loved listening to the sound of the snow falling... it has its own language of whispers.
I still do love to listen, when I don't have to drive out or worry about Toots driving out.
