WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C92D20, 22 points, 1 rollover, 8 water, 1197 calories
Virtually pain free today - it's a miracle!!
No official WI this week - DS and DGK coming early Saturday morning.
It was a good week. Under 1200 calories every day. 23 or under points every day. 11 unused rollovers, and 21 unused weeklies.
Hoping I can get thru the weekend without a binge. I may be MIA a bit but will check in if time allows.
Also too late for personals. I'll play catch up when possible.
Have a lovely weekend one and all.

C39. D8. Op. Tracking. Got in a 30 minute walk. Lost 1.4 pounds this week.
I had 9 points left for dinner and had an untracked meal because I was sick last night. It was probably around 9 points. I was eating crystalized ginger to calm my stomach.
Nancy- so glad you went to urgent Care and had the knee checked out. Wonderful that the pain is gone and DS an DGK are on their way to visit
Jan- hope all is well with you.
Lori- are you still in AC today?
Louise, EDESIA, Beth (miss you), Meg and all who folllow - have a great day.
We're expecting up to 10 inches of snow and I'm driving my family a couple hundred miles in this weather. That's a bit scary... :-0.

Good morning. I ended up eating dinner at 10:00 last night, REALLY not my what I like to do. I had some extra points with some sweet popcorn and 2 small pieces of chocolate, but giving my busy schedule Iโm calling the day a win. Tonight is DHโs holiday party. I plan to eat well and isolate tonight. Iโm going to mark each successful eating day off in my calendar during this holiday season. Iโm thinking it will keep me motivated to stay on track.
Nancy, have a wonderful weekend! Hoping you have no eating regrets when itโs over.
Lori, great AC pics! And just think, you have the whole weekend still ahead of you.
Kathy, great WI this week. Iโm glad your back on track and taking care of YOU.

I'm going to try small tidbits here this weekend but will catch up on personals at another time. This morning my home weight was up 1/2 lb from last Saturday. Here's my plan. No counting, weighing or measuring this weekend. I will write down everything I eat and I will do everything in my power to eat mindfully (I succeeded at breakfast). I will consider it a success if I don't binge and if I get right back on track Tuesday morning. I'm trying to be realistic.

Not too bad today - A normal breakfast at home. Lunch at the deli - I had 1/2 turkey sandwich on rye, a little cole slaw, a pickle and a corner of Parker's grilled cheese. Nothing else til dinner at an Italian restaurant. I ordered a small salad and an appetizer size of penne pasta in vodka sauce (too generous for appetizer size but my heart was in the right place). I also had 1/2 of Parker's mozzarella stick and one rather small slice of a very thin pizza and a couple spoonfuls of his vanilla ice cream. Nothing else tonight. I forgot all about mindful eating but did write everything down. Tomorrow's the Bar Mitzvah. I'll do the best I can. Catcha sometime tomorrow evening I hope. BTW Parker is just precious and lots of quality time and conversation with DS. We took him to an awesome indoor amusement park/arcade called I Play America. He loved it. And I'm still relatively pain free.
