Just a thought about the "FOX news watchers" that visit our thread. Maybe our discussions and comments will make them think a little more about what they are accepting as fact from FOX? One can only hope....... You have more faith in them then I do. They are so very good about shouting "fake news" every time someone disagrees with Trump. Of course I do have that friend who saw the light, and had the grace to tell me.

luanne, I'm afraid friends like the one you have are few and far between. Many of mine are being unusually silent, but none have been willing to admit their mistake out loud. LOL!

When is his next yearly mental evaluation? Soon?! (I think he buys off the doctors anyway but one can hope..)

DotRen, your post reminded me of a meme I've been seeing on FB from time to time lately. Something about Mexico won't pay for the wall, but they have agreed to pay for the JA's psychiatric care.

I've heard one of the most difficult things for someone to say is, "I was wrong."
I'm not going to be holding my breath either when it comes to FOX viewers uttering those words.
However, if any of them actually do say it I guess I'll have to say it too. Lol.

Interesting how the Mueller investigation isn't the talk of the town.
The JA might be a crack pot but he's a clever one.

XXXXXX'd here too. Heaven forbid something happens that gives JA another opportunity to appoint another SC justice. RBG is one tough lady & I think she will persevere & ride out it out till JA is gone. Hope she rests up & comes back in January full of vim & vigor. She really is an inspiration to so many. every time I get a news alert on my phone that starts with 'Ruth Bader Ginsberg..." I hold my breath thinking she's either died or decided to retire and I seriously get ready to have a panic attack- I say something like 'oh please no, oh please no..."

Two things I saw today:
Stephen Colbert "Why is anyone surprised that Trump's willing to shut down our government when it's clearly not the one he works for?"
and
This came from the 1991 movie adaptation of 'Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Clause'. It was from an article that had been published in the movie. Someone quoted it on Twitter.
"The Shame of Greatness We have become a great nation, but at what cost? Ask the red man, the black man, the immigrant, the elderly, the ill... We have built a railroad across the 45 states, and bridges across rivers. But there is no bridge of brotherhood. Why? Because there is no profit in that bridge. As the captains of industry, ask the robber barons, ask the politicians about THAT bridge."

Mom2casey, WOW! That quote gave me goose bumps and I was already a little chilly. lol.
Stephen Colbert is my favorite late night guy. Almost every time he's on I say to my spouse we should get tickets to his show. She always agrees. I say the same thing when The View is on. She also agrees. I'll probably say it tonight. lol. We live about an hours train ride from NYC.
The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. lol.
BTW, I love your avatar. What a beautiful pup.

[tr][td class="content"][article] my only problem with this is they knew all of this when they voted for him..... most of them anyway.. no I don't want him to fail because yes it does mean we all fail but I didn't vote for him.... those that did could OBVIOUSLY hear his lies and HEARD they way he spoke to people and about people- that didn't start when he took office. I just think they ignored it all to have someone other than Hillary- well they got that. And now we all suffer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
M2C- I honestly don't think some of them heard the "real DT" at all, they were there, but what they heard was a "stranger with candy" promising to listen to them, represent them and promising to make their very sorry lives better. A very one issue mentality, they picked what ever lie they wanted to believe and never believed it was a lie. I read an interesting article in THE WEEK about how Democrat and Republican brains are wired differently. Seriously,,,,,,cross my heart and pinky swear. Look at the places he still goes to have his rallies.

So for the third time this year the government is shutdown, and the big buffoon in the Oval who announced to the world he would be proud to own the shutdown is blaming it all on the Democrats. Just more of the same old thing. I think luanne , made a good point about his act all being just for show. If he really gave a flip about illegal immigration, he would be doing something about people overstaying their visas, etc. He never even mentions that, and from what I read that is a far bigger culprit in illegal immigration than people crossing the border. We all think we need to have a handle on immigration and know who is in our country, but anyone who thinks a wall is the answer must be smoking something that is illegal in most states. But as luanne , says it does make him look "tough" to those ignorant supporters who follow him blindly. Shutting down the government always does a lot to take the spotlight off the total fiasco of a week that he's had. Gen. Kelly quits (or was fired), Gen Mattis leaves in protest with a "doozie" of a resignation letter, the Trump Foundation has to close it's doors because it's nothing more than a slush fund, Flynn was back in the news and not in a good way, etc. and that all happened just this week. The noose around him is getting tighter and tighter, and he's panicking. While seeing him squirm brings a smile to my face, it's not good for the country. The more panicky he becomes, the more of a loose cannon he becomes, and the more danger we are in as a country. Not a very happy Christmas thought.
