WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

?C93D11, 23 points, no rollovers, 7 water, 1296 calories
DGK was 19 today - hard to believe. She's coming home for 4 weeks. It will be so good to see her. I did plan out tomorrow (Sat) - 19 points, no calculation for calories. It will be interesting to see how the scale reacts next week.
I played pool today. It was so good to get the heck out of the house. My nose is running now but no more sore throat and no more coughing. Tomorrow is the last antibiotic pill. I plan to attend my WW meeting a do my grocery shopping.
Lori - That's great about the air fryer. And yes a huge NSV for the fries. Here's a new motto for us "If it ain't worth it, chuck it" <g>
Where are you, Kathy?? Edesia?? Jane?? Beth?? Cindy?? Meg?? Miss you guys.

Good morning! I’ll be at a wrestling tournament all day. Concessions at these events leave much to be desired, so I’ve packed cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, raw cauliflower, and sugar snap peas. If everyone wants to go out to eat after, I’ll go, but at least I’ll have kept my points low up until then.
Lori, YES for throwing out the disapointing fries!
Nancy, I’m betting you’ll have a good weigh in today. Yes, Jackson is my middle son. His good friend took the pictures. They chose the location and handled everything. I’m thrilled with how they turned out. Happy Birthday to DGD! Time really does fly.

Lori - wow on the French fries victory. At this point in my journey, I wouldn't do that. Hoping to get there! The gift certificates are for restaurants that your DH likes? I have no presents for DH this year. It will probably be clothes...

NSV I got one of my skate guards on standing up! Did need help with the second one though. The coach I had this summer said mine are really too tight. I've been carrying them into the dressing room after skating. NOT a good thing with newly sharpened skates.
Pretty day outside the temperature is 43 F. That's after having 2 on Thursday morning.
Should head upstairs to bring down DM's creche. Decorating going a bit slow this year. I did not get a new set of Advent Candles and the window candles are not yet put out, nor did I get a wreath up yet.

Down 1.4!!
BFFs - I need some advice. A friend has been touting Knudsen "Just Black Cherry" juice as a treatment (maybe the wrong word) for arthritis symptoms. 6 oz daily 1/2 hour before breakfast for 3 weeks and 4 oz forever thereafter. She said it did wonders for her and for everyone she ever recommended it to. WW gives it 6 points because of the 19 gms of sugar. BTW it's high in potassium (a good thing). In fact it pretty much reflects the sugar and potassium of a 6 oz banana. The 27 reviews on Amazon (4-1/2 stars) confirm the benefits without exception. This is not a concentrate. The ingredient list reads "juice from ripe whole black cherries". Nothing else. I'm certainly going to try it but I don't know how to handle the points. My plan is for 19 points a day. I don't want to cut back to accommodate the juice. So I could enter 25 points and that would use up all of my rollovers and weeklies. Or I could isolate it. Or maybe there's another option? I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.
Jan - Anxious to hear how you made out at the concession stand. I'm guessing you stuck with the healthy snacks you brought with you.
Kathy - How very nice to hear from you. I emailed Beth's email address to you - probably not advisable to post it here. I really hope you'll start posting here daily - good, bad or indifferent. My BFF's keep me grounded and help to get me back on track whenever I stray.
Louise - Still dealing with arthritis pain? I'm starting PT on Monday. I have no idea what it will do for me but certainly worth a try. I figure there's not much point in seeing an orthopedist if I'm not willing to follow his advice. If the cherry juice helps, so much the better.
