WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

Good morning. 25 APs and 15 non-Core points yesterday. Christmas shopping and wrapping is 99% done, thank goodness.
Nancy, spot on with the cherry juice. Let the scale, and your joints, be the judge.

Good Morning!
The weekend could have been a little better. I made all my cookies and they are now in the freezer. I did make one mini cookie and enjoyed. I also make mini pretzels drizzled with chocolate (I had a couple of those). Then we tried a new restaurant Saturday night (big mistake). It turned out to be more like a pizza/sandwich menu. DH wanted to try a few things and bring home leftovers for the week. So we ordered a pizza, he ordered a burger and I had a 1/2 chicken sandwich (which was fried, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers) plus a couple of fries. Not the best choice and way too many carbs. The rest of the day (that goodness) was all healthy options. Sunday was a good day. Just felt like I was getting too sloppy and way too many things coming up....Today will be a MFP day!
Nancy, good choice with the juice! If anything, you could count it as one of your fruits.... Jan, doesn't it feel good to be almost done with Christmas shopping and wrapping!! I'm pretty much at the same spot...just waiting for deliveries and plan on wrapping as I get them....
Have a good day!! Lori

Jan - Thanks for the feedback. I'll give it a try and see how it goes.
Lori - Compare your iffy weekend with what would have occurred in the past and give yourself credit. I thought about calling the juice a fruit. I usually allow 3 fruits at zero and then a sign a point each to any additional fruits. I think I'll start by isolating it and see how both the joints and the scale react.
