WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C93D20, 19 points, 4 rollovers, 8 water
Twice around mall and 20 minutes on treadmill - 8000 steps - slowly but surely.
Jan - It was Pandora but what do you mean they take names? Yes we've gone to Graeter's on occasion. My great nephew was a disaster growing up - then he went into the army and later met a nice Jewish girl <g>. She's a doll and turned his life around. He recently got onto the police force, works out, looks fabulous. She's a teacher. They're getting married in July.

Good morning!
Nancy, I think Pandora takes names as you get in line, and calls you in by name. Thatβs what I heard, anyway. We wanted to get our boss a Pandora bracelet a few years ago, but decided to go with Swarovski instead because of the line. What a nice story about your nephew. It gives me hope. Thank you.

Good Morning! Working 1/2 a day today, then I'll be off the rest of the week. So far so good! Green with a little yellow!!
Warms my heart to read both your post this morning! Nancy, happy that you are getting back to your normal activity!! Jan, Nice to hear you and DH has a nice outing and so happy your DS is in a good, healthy relationship!! The right GF or BF can make a world of difference!
Tonight, I'm cooking - Ham, NY Strip Steak, baked sweet potato w/butter,brown sugar/cinn, maple glazed carrots and cauliflower with breadcrumbs (my serving will be made a light version). I'm going to try cooking the NY Strip Steak in the air fryer....from the chart I have it says 400 degrees about 18 mins (flip after 9 min) - I plan on putting them on the bottom (top seems to cook faster than the chart). Wondering, would you cook in the basket or on the tray? Any suggestions are very welcome......
so dinner, won't be a problem...dessert - I'm making a sweet potato crunch pie, I definitely plan on having a slice! and stopping there....
Have a nice day! Lori

Jan - Yes every time you speak of Nick, I think of Greg (my great nephew) and can't help but think the same turn around will happen with Nick. He already seems to be heading in that direction. Keep the faith!!
Lori - I do my steaks (actually filet mignon) on a rack over the tinfoil-covered tray. But I always do it on broil. One of these days I'll get up the nerve to try the air fryer setting. What is the advantage in your opinion? I don't see why it wouldn't work as well in the basket except for the cleanup.
