WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C94D2, 23 points, no rollovers, 6 water, 1198 calories
Twice around mall with friend. Another friend and I hit the gym after pool. Unfortunately the two free treadmills were out of order. The road to h--- is paved with good intentions. It feels so good to be back on the beam.
The Golden Globes ended late so I will have to forego personals tonight except to congratulate Cindy for the outstanding weight loss. Keep up the good work.

Good morning. It will be a busy day for me. Our fitness challenge starts, so Iโll be doing weigh ins during my 2 hour break at lunch time, and possibly on my break later in the day.
Yesterday was a stellar eating day for me. I ran 7.4 miles with Roscoe on the trail, so I earned 20 APs. I only ate 6 non-Core points, and that was in the evening when I had my cake batter yogurt.
I did my grocery shopping and food prep in the afternoon. The went to Target and Aldi, and both stores were crazy busy. I made a roasted chicken, grilled salmon, and 2 huge pots of soup-chicken noodle (from last weekโs roasted chicken) and minestrone. Itโs nice to have not just my food, but food for my family prepped for the beginning of the week.
Cindy, wonderful weight loss! Do you ever add in a higher calorie day? It might not be a bad idea, especially if youโre hungrier than usual sometimes.
Nancy, at least you got the mall walk in. I watched a bit of the Golden Globes. They were a few weeks earlier than usual this year.
Lori, Iโm still amazed at how weโve found a way to balance things out. Good idea with MFP for a day or 2.

Good Monday Morning! First full week back to work and everything back to normal....hope I make it...lol
Nancy, Wonderful to see you back on the beam!! On the Beam has truly become our "normal"!!! We have come a long way!! Jan, Great day yesterday!! Your food choices for the week sound yummy!! Cindy, I was thinking of you this morning when I was on the treadmill!!
I'm also amazed that I finally learned how to balance things out - it's not like I haven't heard these techniques over the years of WW (everything in moderation). I just can't believe it finally clicked - ...I would have eaten the other 1/2 of any of my leftovers last night, but I actually thought about it and plan to have them on days when breakfast and lunch are Green! This way, I don't have two Yellow meals on the same day....I'm also looking at how I can enjoy the leftovers in a little lighter way...for example, tonight I plan to have some of the leftover seafood bisque soup over rice cauliflower, broccoli and whiting fish (not my favorite, but I have some in the freezer) - I'm thinking the soup will be a Hugh flavor factor and make it a meal to look forward to and enjoyable!! I also think that having a MFP Monday and not getting on the scale until Tuesday has taught me how I can enjoy the restaurant dinners and still maintain....That is HUGH for me!! Then depending on the scale - I either will continue with MFP or switch to CORE or Freestyle....
Enjoy your day everyone! Lori
