Good morning Peggy Sue & ATF,
Cloudy today and currently 31; the high will be 40.
Woke up to some bad news. One of Ed's long time friends killed himself this morning about 4am. Ed is devastated, he has known him since his ice hockey days as a teenager. He was also his lieutenant at one time in the police department. He was retired from the police department. Ed is with his wife now. I'm waiting to hear from him.
I'm sort of in limbo, just in shock I guess. Please remember him, his wife & daughter & my son Ed in your prayers.

Morning All!
So sorry to hear Emily! Suicide is such a terrible thing, leaving those that remain with unanswered questions, grief and guilt, not knowing if they could have done something. I will say a prayer that the family and Ed get some solace and closer to the whole terrible thing.
Snow is headed our way and you can feel it in the air. There is a grayness to the skies and a heaviness that tells you something is coming. The bones seem to ache a little more in advance, if that doesn’t sound too foolish….
Today was going to be a gathering and organizing kind of day, but the truth is I just don’t feel like it so I’m not sure it’s going to happen. Has to happen soon, but maybe just not today.
Had a productive day at Trader Joes yesterday. In the refrigerated section they had ½ turkey breasts, so I bought one of those for my freezer. Not a fan of deli turkey meat, but I do love it for sandwiches if it comes off a real roasted bird. They also had a meat lasagna that I bought and put in the freezer for when the Italian comes out in me and I crave something special. Costly, but well made. I also got a couple of their rib eye steaks for the freezer too, so now I am fully stocked for the next few weeks and I have enough if I have to make something for cousin. They didn’t have the ciabatta rolls I usually buy (great for egg sandwiches in the morning and only 3 points), so I bought their skinny whole wheat everything bagels. Thought I would be disappointed, but I am not – very good.
Since I have decided to put off the work I need to do, I plan to spend most of my day working in the back room. Don’t know where I’m headed with that, but maybe those mini flowers I was talking about. Need to watch a few more You Tube videos before I give them a real try.
Everyone have a great day!
Dayle

Emily, I'm so sorry. I hope Ed will find someone to talk to because the loss is so close.
I'm spending the day recuperating from yesterday. J, hb's caregiver, moved some chairs downstairs to the garage and then shifted som bookcases, a small desk, my sewing table. All I did was point, and then MY back hurt! The sunroom is not large, more like an 8' x 20' after thought at the west end of the house! Now I can get in there and clean up all the accumulated junk and extra stuff. This is a perfect time to use the room in the late afternoon and evening. My plan is to paint the shiplap on the walls. My real plan is probably to have someone else paint it. It's currently stained a medium oak which I have enjoyed for too many years! Something restful and light with a white ceiling. Probably a very light, almost imperceptible teal tint. There are four floor to ceiling windows and window at either end.
Yesterday morning I met with the CPA, did a little grocery shopping and had lunch with a friend at a new Thai restaurant. The food was excellent. Lunch was reasonabl, and the portion sizes were good. That's a winner, also right across the parking lot from the supermarket!

Hi all.
Emily- sorry to hear the news. That is so sad
We are on way home.
Big 19 car accident on highway 15. They closed freeway but now a lane is open. Hopefully by the time we get in that area it will be all cleaned up.
It’s not raining right now but lots of rain is coming later today and all night.
