TOOT! TOOOOT! CHUG CHUG, CHUG! Here comes the Train to Thinsville down the track and into your station, so hop on board and enjoy the ride.
This morning it was 25º (feels like 19º) and we had snow showers overnight and going up to 35º and cloudy with winds SW 5-10 mph. We have a winter weather advisory for tomorrow with 2-5” of snow and possibly more in some areas.
The girls will be in school again today, but I don’t think there are any other special plans.
Yesterday MJ was going grocery shopping but called and said there was an accident blocking the road, so she just picked up the girls and brought them home and then went grocery shopping.
I finally finished reading Bone to Be Wild, a Sarah Booth Delaney Mystery by Carolyn Haines. This book had lots of twists and turns and I never did figure out who the murderer was, so it had a surprise ending for me. Now I’m reading a book titled Raspberry Danish Murder, a Hannah Swensen Mystery with Recipes
Thurs Jan. 10: Aunty Acid: I’m not bossy. I just have strong leadership skills.

Good morning Doris & ATF,
Cloudy and 26 currently; the high for today will be 33. Should see some snow around 10pm.
I'm at DD's house watching Frankie. He had a slight fever thru the night and this morning. Since Ed is using my car, SIL, picked me up on his way home from work. Now he is sleeping and either Ed will pick me up or SIL will drive me home when he goes back to work tonight.
Never a dull moment around here.
Have a great day!

Emily,
I hope Frankie will be feeling better soon. I hope too that Ed's car will be fixed soon so you can have yours back.
We have a winter storm coming through and it sounds like they are expecting a lot of snow with it, so MJ stopped on the way home from taking the girls to school and got groceries enough to last over the weekend.

We are to get our first real winter storm this weekend also so I am stocked up with groceries etc. I probably will get out as DD is going to pick me up Saturday, they are moving her mother in law into her new home closer to them and though they have a lot of help with the moving part we are going to clean as the house has been a rental and needs a major cleaning. She says in good shape though so any changes she wants can be done slowly. That means DSIL will be busy all winter as she is very picky. Looking forward to seeing my Grandkids that are coming to help with the moving etc. Been since Christmas since I have seen then and need a Grandkid fix.
I am still lounging around in my red fleece robe and enjoying it a lot. Really am thinking about getting dressed soon. Probably my warm leggings and a turtle neck shirt and long sweater. it is still 20° out there and to get in single digits this weekend. All kinds of warning out for checking on your neighbors that are elderly etc. My lawn guy will come to plow if we get the big snow fall. And my neighbor is one that calls him in winter. I call in summer for mowing, she does the winter calling.
I am hungry so off to warm up some Italian Wedding soup I got at the deli the other day in the grocery store. Very good almost as good as what my DD#1 used to make. She ways she doesn't do it anymore. Her SO doesn't like soup and with only 2 of them she says too much work. told her I would take some if she changes her mind!! She uses both tiny meatballs and chicken in her's YUM!!!
I love Aunty Acid!! I know people like that!!!!

Connie,
I hope you will be able to get out to clean the house if the winter storm will wait until Sunday. It sounds like you will have a big job.
I've never had Italian wedding soup, but I've heard it is good. I like most soups so I'd probably enjoy it too.

Hi!
We had a busy morning, since both of us had doctor's appointments with our primary care doctor. She heard my irregular heartbeat again and so I had an EKG. No problem -- it's fine. Now wew are home for the day.
Temps today are in the 40s up to maybe 50Âş. It's cloudy here, too, and we are supposed to get the southern edge of your storm, I think. It shouldn't be bad here, though single digits on Sunday could keep us home from church if the pavement is wet.
DD is supposed to report to us this evening about her conversation with the counselor. I hope it is positive. DGS already takes anxiety meds and ADHD meds. Sigh...
Last night's dinner was very tasty! I wondered how it would work, but it was great! Even DGS ate his dinner! These were packaged steaks, ready to put in the oven. I can't remember the brand, but they are very kid friendly. DH has already thrown the box away, so I don't know the calories or carbs. Gravy came with them , but I made my own. I tend to like my gravy better than any commercial kind. I will get them again for the family dinner night. Everyone liked them.
Emily, prayers continue for Ed and his friend's family. Hope Frankie gets well quickly.
Be happy today! Diane

Diane,
You had a busy morning. I'm glad the doctor did an EKG when she heard an irregular heartbeat and that everything was OK.
I hope your DD has a good report on DGS. He already has some issues with ADHD and I hope the school has a plan to help him.

Doris I like the mysteries where I can't figure out "who done it"
The overnight snow was light but we were glad when our neighbor came over and used the leaf blower on our sidewalk. With the last snow I was scooping the snow and it was heavier than this one when the neighbor across the street came accross with his snow blower and finished the job for me.
This morning I went back to the Y as the arm swelling is mostly down and not near as painful. Helen

Helen,
I'm glad to hear the swelling in your arm has gone down and it isn't so painful now.
It was nice that your neighbor finished the snow clearing you started.
