Good Morning Marm and LTMs,
This morning it was 25º (feels like 19º) and we had snow showers overnight and going up to 35º and cloudy with winds SW 5-10 mph. We have a winter weather advisory for tomorrow with 2-5” of snow and possibly more in some areas.
The girls will be in school again today, but I don’t think there are any other special plans.
Yesterday MJ was going grocery shopping but called and said there was an accident blocking the road, so she just picked up the girls and brought them home and then went grocery shopping.
I finally finished reading Bone to Be Wild, a Sarah Booth Delaney Mystery by Carolyn Haines. This book had lots of twists and turns and I never did figure out who the murderer was, so it had a surprise ending for me. Now I’m reading a book titled Raspberry Danish Murder, a Hannah Swensen Mystery with Recipes
Thurs Jan. 10: Aunty Acid: I’m not bossy. I just have strong leadership skills.

Marlene, Thinking of you this morning as warming up my Rice Bag for the third time. You should make up a couple. You will quickly love it. It keeps you feeling warmer. If I didn't have them I'm not sure what I would do. I'm always cold/freezing. Thinking of you Girl-Friend!
Enjoy this day! Marm~~

My early, long day at work. It's been kind of a misty type of snow this morning. Just enough to cover my windshield while I was at work. An inch of snow Fri and 3-6" Sat. was predicted but now they've upped it to 4-8" Then snow again on Mon....sigh... Going to get some groceries when DH gets home from work so I don't have to be out in it this weekend except to go to work Sat morning. Just heard the garage door so DH is home. Better get ready to go. I suppose the grocery stores will be busy with everyone stocking up before the storm.

Marm, I've been going to get out my rice bags to warm myself and also use on my back but I still haven't done that.
One of my order problems has been resolved. The order that I thought was for an actual Bible and turned out to be a cd that I couldn't use they refunded my $22 so I'm happy about that. Still haven't got the Walmart issue resolved. Neither Walmart nor FedEx seems to know what they're doing.

Feeling better today then yesterday but I have a "froggy" voice. I think I'll live though!
After lunch we made the shopping circuit of three grocery stores & DH stopped for gas. I was low or out of various things but won't go hungry now - even if we get snowed in. The way they salt the roads & streets around here that won't happen. So, let it snow!
Marm, thanks for thinking of me. For me the rice bags are great if one local area like my feet or hands are cold, but when I'm freezing all over the only thing that helps is to get under blankets. I also like the bags for aches & pains.

Well I posted this on yesterdays thread. See if I can do this right this time? Just returned from out of town from Celebration of Life. DH's good friend and was his boss. We will all miss that little guy. He didn't weigh 91#, And all that had to be his bones. He was always a tall thin guy. but over the yrs. everyone that saw him would say,, He can't lose anymore. but he kept losing. Well DH didn't lite the fire after all. He fell asleep in the Recliner till after 10.
Doris, Sounds like MJ might have had a little wait for first GD picking her up yesterday.
Marlene, That's what I do roll the bags all over my body. Then start again. I'm not say I don't still feel cold. but it helps a lot. I wouldn't be able to be under blanket all the time either. when I still have them w/me then. I hope that cold doesn't get any worse. Our streets is salted to. Some cars is all white from it. Oh I did read that on Jayme, most I already read to on the home pg.. But a few more on the site you had. Thanks,
Gareth*, Was it a mess shopping today?
Ruth, I know rice bags helps both DH w/pain or cold to. Good to hear at least got one refund. do you think you will get the other one?

Ruth, I’m glad that you solved the problem with at least one of your items that needs to be returned. I always thought that WM took anything back if they carried the item, receipt or not. Maybe too many people wrongfully took advantage of them. I hope FedEx helps you.
Marlene, don’t wish for too much snow! Some of us don’t like it, and most of your weather comes through here! Ha! However I see that we are going to miss the snow coming soon. It will go south of us again, however I see some mention of it for Monday maybe.
My virus protection with McAfee is expiring soon and I’ve been getting emails about it, but they all said that I would have to sign up for automatic renewal, and I don’t want that. So I phoned them and a man said that I could get it without the auto renewal, and on top of it he gave me a better price ($20 less than what they were telling me), so I was happy about that. My subscription to my daily paper (Minneapolis Star Tribune) also was on auto renewal, so I had to call to deal with that, and they also gave me a better price, a savings of about $40 for 26 weeks. I was about to cancel it as it just went up in price. I still wonder if it’s worth about $200 for 26 weeks (6 mo), but I would miss it if I didn’t get it. I always read the paper and do the sudoku puzzle while eating my meals. My gripe with these two cases that I dealt with is the auto renewal part. Once they get your subscription to their service they won’t let you quit easily!

Mary, Thats a lot of money and not even a yrs. worth. I'm calling my Computer guy. I also need to redo Virus. But not sure of anything. He said Virus is free. I don't want to pay anything.
Well please keep those prayers going up for DD, Just a note from her. the more she says the more I find out whats all inside her mouth. Was to DR.again. And go again Next wk going to take 2 more bands out, but leave the bars in, see how it goes. At first I was thinking only had wires in. Now I hear also bands and bars. Geesh, she has a lot to handle. And long way to go yet. Seems like all is lined up.

Marm, I'm praying for your dd also. I do a lotof praying. I remember taking care of patients with those bars in their mouths. I think they were called arch bars.
Thank you Mary. We actually already did get a refund for the Walmart item but they said if it didn't come back within 30 days we would be recharged so it's a matter of getting that label and sending it. They said we can't take it to the store to return. You should just be able to take your order number with the item to the store and they should be able to look that up in their computer and use that info to refund your money. I would like to find out who I could email and suggest that.
I don't like snow either. And I don't like cold. If my house was warmer I woudn't mind so much but I hate to spend all the money it would cost to heat this drafty house so just heat part. And I don't like having to worry about pipes freezing.Living in a hot climate though just has other problems. See I'm still a scrooge even though Christmas is over. I'm not really though. I'm actually a pretty positive person.
OH and Mary, anytime it's time for anything I have to be renewed I always call and always get a better price. I don't get a newspaper now but one time the paper sent me a letter offering a while year of the paper both real newspaper and online 7 days a week for a year for $52. I took it but after that year I was so tired of all the newspapers I cancelled it. I only read the obits and the wheels on meals and senior center menus. (don't know why I was interested in the menus...I wasn't getting either of those) I loved doing the Suduku too.And of course our newspaper was nothing like the Minneapolis newspaper. We're a very small town.
