WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C94D10, 22 points + isolated ½ slice cheesecake, 7 water, K10-5
Table tennis and treadmill – then piano lesson so no further exercise
MRI tomorrow (Friday). Monday will be my followup appt with the orthopedist. Looking forward to results.
I’m doing well with this somewhat relaxed program. Tonight there was cheesecake in the clubhouse kitchen, presliced. A canasta friend asked if I wanted to split a slice. I did and it was delicious. No guilt.
Jan – Sweet-free is a huge step in the right direction. For a very long time I was having nothing with sugar in the first three ingredients. It was so easy. Maybe I’ll get back to it some day.
Lori – How did the video go? For me barbells go hand in hand with TV. Since I was out for Canasta tonight, no TV and therefore no barbells.
Cindy – The HUGE NSV is that you’re not allowing your slip up to interfere with your posting here. Are you tracking these days? It helps me so much to plan my day even if I stray from the plan, as long as I track the additions or at least write them down and isolate. I also hope that you are eating enough. 1200 or even 1500 calories (if you’re still counting) are way better than a binge. 1000 may be too restrictive. Having said that, I must remind you to do as I say, not as I do, as I too remain prone to binging once I color outside the lines. Let’s work on this together.

Good morning. I finally had a good food day yesterday. I’m planning for more of the same today.
Cindy, I’m happy that you checked in here, even though you had a rough night. This group has helped me more than I can say. It’s good to have friends to be accountable to, without judgement.
Nancy and Lori, it looks like we’re all going to get hit with snow this weekend. Be safe!

Now that my DH is retired, I no longer have to worry about clearing the snow.... Planning on enjoying a snow day home- nice and toasty near the fireplace! Stay safe if traveling.... Cindy, Great that you checked in!! Hope today was a little easier for you.....
Have a good day everyone! Lori
