Hope you got to go to your celebration, Betty.
internet comes and goes, mostly goes here, do I am starting the thread now.
Ran errands...Goodwill, donate books to library, sell books to used and new store, dropped a thing at consignment, Trader Joe's and home to collapse. Knee complaining a bit. Sure is busy out there today.
starting going through fiction books...one shelf at a time goes into the library room...not kidding about that name...chair. What we REALly want to read again or missed before goes back.. got rid of 18 inches from 28 inch shelf one!
tamales from friend tonight for supper.

Thanks for the start Lin. Just ready to do that and scrolled down and saw the thread. We just got home from our celebration. The roads were pretty nasty this morning. Sure was nervous during that drive. Much better on the way home but we left fairly early because I wanted to be home before dark. Had a good time. Lots of good food and everything I took got gone. Had a gift exchange and I always seem to get something that I probably won't ever use. Oh well...it was fun. Dave got a 12 pack of beer that we gave to our DSIL. Dave rarely drinks beer because of all the sugar in it.
Tomorrow will be a stay at home day. Suppose to be extremely cold. We got about 7 inches of snow overnight and this morning it was 5, on our way home it was 2. I am so sick of winter. Coat, gloves, boots....YUCK

Betty, I am so glad you got to go to the family celebration. Stay warm and dry tomorrow. This weather has gotten crazy. We are having record highs and the northern part of the country is having record lows.
Betty, I am sorry, but don't remember if it was you or someone else that was making the artichoke dip I posted. It was either here or on Rollers. It has been such a long standby for me, maybe 40 years or more.
Went to WW this morning, new people coming in for the New Year. One lady joined last week and she is a teacher. All kinds of goodies brought in to her and she gave them all to her next door neighbor for the kids. She wanted join before Christmas so she would be OP during the food push time. Worked on grooming Brenna today, she is so good and patient. It will take a few days to do it. Labradoodles do grow curly hair or fur. I don't want her to not let me do.
Meeting a friend for breakfast tomorrow, so that will be fun. You all have a peaceful night and dreams.

Betty J - so glad you were able to go and got home safely.
Lin - we got rid of a lot of books also. The main ones we have now are vintage with beautiful bindings in a secretary/ bookcase hutch. Have a few miscellaneous ones in a cabinet in the hall.
Geri - I have a Goolden Doodle. Yup, the grooming is an issue. Unfortunately mine needs to go to the groomers every 4-5 weeks. I keep her hair short so I don't need to brush often. I do brush her about once a week. I get irritated every month over the cost. But she matts easy and brushing daily would bug her.
Phyl - sounds like you had a great day.
Today I got my hair cut and dyed. Felt good. Went to a sees candy to buy hubby's favorites and then did some paper filing when I got home.
Relaxing on sofa now. Might not get up for a while 😀😀 been staying home a lot lately. Kinda anti social. I am tired. This remodeling is exhausting. Basically skipping the holiday events. But going to my sisters house for Christmas.

Marilyn, is your pup curly or straight? Brenna is curly, but the doodles are such fantastic dogs. Smart, funny, let us know what they want, loving, silly, and just good dogs. And after being evacuated to a home with 3 kids etc. with Hurricane Matthew, they are kind. She let those 3 kids walk her in the house, play with her, run with her, lay on her, and she was such a good girl and kept them occupied for 3 days. If she wasn't there, the kids would have been bored.

Geri - she is curly. I posted picture.
She is tons of fun. So glad she recovered from being so sick with stomach pain. She is back to normal now. Eating her normal food now. They are great dogs. Just wish no grooming needed. It's $72 + a tip. 🙀🙀 We had lab for 12 years and did not go to groomer. Washed her in our bathtub.

Hi gals, Been a brrr day, we've used the fireplace all day, it's the coldest day so far this year. About 27* this morning and never got out of the 40s. No wind, thank goodness. Supposed to be cold again tonight...not sure about tomorrow afternoon. The dry cold air makes my throat hurt a little, especially during the night. Geri, it was me talking about the artichoke dip. I really like it and thought I'd make it for Christmas. Thanks for the recipe. Had some company today...our DFs, Ed and Kate, came for awhile and later our oldest DD came for awhile. Helped to make the day go by. Betty J, so glad you and Dave got to go to the big party. I'm with you about winter. By Jan. I'll be cheering for spring to hurry and get here. ") Phyl, your breakfast sounds yummy...I like to go out for breakfast, but Doug doesn't really like breakfast very often...his idea of breakfast is a donut or a slice of his banana/nut bread. He's a skinny little thing these days. I'm jealous. Have a little headache, going to go take some Tylenol and relax. Hope you all have a good nights sleep. Sweet Dreams. Pat
