WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C94D21, 20 points, 3 rollovers, 1197 calories, 8 water, K9:30-2, 10.898 steps
treadmill, twice around mall, errands
Tomorrow’s plan: 6 non core points, 14 smart points, 1265 calories
Kathy – So very sorry about your aunt. Hard to know which is worse, the disease or the treatment. That 50 minutes of vigorous exercise should go a long way toward offsetting your off plan eating. I would choose to have the 2 cookies and either count them or isolate them. What did you decide?
Lori – Yes you are my inspiration for switching plans from day to day. So far it’s working well for me too.
Cindy – Sorry you haven’t been feeling well but thrilled at your two pound loss. Keep up the good work!!

Good morning. Overall, a good day of eating yesterday. I did have 5 chips in the afternoon. Amazingly, I closed the bag and didn’t have anymore.
Kathy, I’m sorry about your aunt. I lost one of my favorite aunts at only 70 years old in 2010, and it rocked my world. I still miss her terribly. Did you end up eating the cookie dough? The Today Show is in MN right now.......brrrrrrr! Stay warm.
Nancy, a few years ago we had a brutal winter, but they’ve been pretty mild in the last several years. We will have record cold Wednesday and Thursday. Yeah for your step count, your calorie count, and your Core foods!
Lori, I don’t do many of Mudhustler’s recipes for the same reason as you. He uses hard to find ingredients. The Devotion protein looks yummy, but I don’t want a giant container of it. I also feel that he works the system a little too much—a giant cake for 2 points, or some nonsense like that. If it works for him, great. However, it could backfire on a lot of people.
Cindy, I’m sorry you’re still sick. Get yourself better soon!

I watched an eye-opening documentary on CNN the other night called Three Identical Strangers. If you didn’t see it, it’s worth pulling up on demand. It’s about triplets separated at birth and the stories surrounding it. Fascinating and horrifying.

Good Morning,
Yesterday went well - I've been stretching out my leftovers. Last night and the next two nights, I'll be having breakfast leftovers for dinner - adding lots of veggies. Really enjoyed it!! I'm also enjoying the banana muffins I made. I was amazed how moist and tasty they are - never thought chickpeas could be used for baking....I'll be making them again!!
Nancy, glad the variation of plans is working for you also!! I find it keeps thing interesting!! Great day yesterday!! Jan, Bravo for having a few chips and done!! Your mindset is spot on!! Tonight with be Strength training (ST), can you believe this is week 4 at 2x a week. I've been averaging around 8500 steps a week, 2 days ST and 2 days Pilates....Plan to continue.... Thanks for the CNN story - sounds like something DH will watch with me.... Kathy, hope you had a good day yesterday with the kids! Try and stay warm - brutal temps in your forecast... Cindy, hope you and DH are on the mend...
Have a good day everyone! Lori

Wow! You gals are such an inspiration to me!!! The way you eat and all the exercising you do!! Plus the benefits, physically and mentally it gives. I'm going to vaccum and mop today. My floors are begging to be cleaned. Then tommorrow start back on the treadmill. Went by my son's yesterday to leave a movie and reader's digest, went back in his media room & saw his new rowing machine. That thing is really long. He just loves it. Well, off to do the floors. I know there has been some yea's and nea's on the Keto plan, but he has really got in shape on it. He gave me a recipe that sounds & looks yummy that I'll have to post on here.
Love ya'll, Cindy
