This morning I have my journal open and have recorded breakfast. I don't have my old pamphlets, points books or anything else so will record foods in the journal, use MFP to write down the info about fat, fiber and calories and then do mental math to get points using the old points program (first one). I think I have written down how many for how many pounds. I will record weight daily and points and exercise (when I begin again) and see where I am in February. It is good to have a plan.
BEVERLY: I thought of setting up a Curves in my basement. I would have stations with a jump rope (hah) and dumbbells and bike and such then cycle through each one but didn't have a wall clock so never did it...surse...it was the wall clock that kept me from doing it! Anyway, if you want to work out and there is a YMCA or YWCA they might have a monthly membership with a program or classes or something? I hope you have a wonderful family meal together!
CHERRY: My "job" these days is reading. Wish I got money for books read and reviewed but...it gives a focus and purpose to my days and I do meet some interesting people in books and also the authors of those books. As for propane vs electric...not sure how the two work but in Lebanon the electric blows air and the chauffrage (water through pipes heated by diesel) is radiant and feels better. We have the plumbing for the radiant but never put it in and only turn the split units (electric) on if it is really cold. I also remember growing up that there were vents in rooms and the heat came up from t he basement through the vents and felt divine...think it worked on gas?
BEVERLY: I remember being able to get turkey breasts to roast when we lived in Saudi Arabia but have never seen them here in Lebanon. I think I may have to go to Beirut to get the meat/cheese slicer and bring it here as incentive to make some beef or chicken roasts then slice them for meals later on. The turkey does sound good today. I can't imagine going over a bridge in high wind! I hope there were not also high waves and that the guard rails are HIGH on the bridge!
PAM: Is there any place online or on the boards here that tells what the week's topic at WW was? It would be interesting to follow the topics for about 12 weeks or so...think they cycle through the same topics every quarter - or used to.

Good morning friends.
Well, finally warming up, we have gone from un-seasonal cold to un-seasonal warm. Go figure?
Today is my 55 th wedding anniversary, quite sad that when you've been married this long, you don't even care about going out for lunch, much less, anything else. Marriage is really a strange thing, I have been married for so long (since I was 18), that it feels like all my life. Guess I'll just finish it out with the old boy now, too late to make changes at this point in life.
Have to pick GS up from school today, he wants to spend the night with us. I'm not sure what we will do, I will check & see what is playing at the movie. Now that he is a teen-ager, he may not want to be caught at the theater with his grandmother on a Friday night, but we will see.
Happy February everyone, it's super bowl weekend, watch those snacks!

Good morning!
Still cold here but a bit more warmer. It was -1 with the windchill today. My window washer fluid is frozen so I can't clean my windows. I am trying to clean them off, but everything is freezing. It will be 50 by next week, so the windows will just have to stay smudged.
Nothing much planned for this weekend. We are not Super Bowl people. We will meet DNephew for brunch and will catch up on his college plans. Laundry, workshop and nails are also on the agenda. I am getting tired of working and looking forward to it ending. Can't be soon enough for me!
Have a great day!

Happy anniversary.
I'm going to call the place where I got my furnace and tell them what has been happening and see what they think. They may come out and check it out, but there is no urgency since the propane has been working so well.
My toilet in the upstairs bathroom hasn't been flushing properly for the last few days. When I flushed I heard a gurgling in the shower drain. I could also smell sewer gas. I called the plumber yesterday and he figured the vent in the roof was frozen. He said he would send someone out when he could. Well, it resolved itself last evening and I don't hear the gurgling any more so it must have warmed up enough yesterday for it to thaw. So I called this morning and left a message that they didn't need to come out. It would have taken someone to go up on the roof and clear the vent.
Today I'm going to continue my puttering and casual cleaning and organizing. I have nothing else on my schedule and no place to go.
Have a good day, beaches.

Cathy: iβm not sure where they post the topics of the week that is available on the website. Some of the fb groups might post info. On the pro boards they often have a thread titled This Weekβs Meeting.
Happy Anniversary Beverly.
Cherry: Hope the upstairs plumbing continues to work.
Lynn: hope you get some relaxing in tonight.
