Hello February Healthy Hearts!
DH called to me this morning about 8:15 that he had fallen on the floor of the bedroom and had blood all over himself. Indeed, he had hit his head on the corner of the dresser and had a deep 1" gash in his head. We thought, since he hadn't eaten, that would solve the problems. However, he had two more episodes, and one more in the ER. They determined that it was a problem with his heart, and he received a pacemaker about 5 this afternoon. He ate a good supper, and seemed to be feeling really well when he sent me home for the night.
This was so unexpected. He and I are both trying to get our heads around the implications.
DD spent the day with us at the hospital, and Casey is consoling me tonight.
February? I like it because we're closer to spring; I hate it because spring is so far away!

Molly, I'm so sorry to hear what you both went through today. I hope your DH will be Ok now!!!
Antonio, just stood up on his hind legs and bite me on my underside of my arm!!! I think he is mad at me that I'm not in my chair! He wants to sit on my lap with my blanket some more. I was getting to hot so I got up!!! I have been watching tv tonight and not reading. I will read some in my room before bed. I just came in here to see what was going on and to say good night to you all.
Peggysue, Mo.

Mollyann,
I'm glad you posted about what happened to your DH. You had quite a tiring day I think. Its good that he was able to call you for help. It was good that he was in the ER when he had those episodes and the doctor was able to determine that it was a problem with his heart and he received a pacemaker. I'm glad to hear he is doing well after the surgery. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Mollyann, that pacemaker does an amazing job in helping the heart! Good health to DH.

Kathie, so sorry Jim fell out of bed.. but glad he is ok. Here in Northern Ca. our leaves have been gone since new years day.. and with the sun we had last week, I see the limbs on the trees starting to swell with buds.. soon we will have trees in bloom.. Before the month is over we will have orchards in full bloom.. We have an almond festival coming up in February .. people come from all over just to see the blossoms.. Also at the cemetery the other day, I saw daffodils coming up beside kikos headstone that we planted years ago.. they grow and bloom every year at this time. Pansies, Roses, Snapdragons and lots of bulbs are now through the ground and getting ready to blossom.. Lots of times it rains when the trees blossom and sometimes it does interfere with bees pollination.. but usually it all turns out as planned.
It's raining here tonight and we have a winter storm warning for high winds and heavy rain.. hope our trees all make it and nothing falls.. always a fear.
Not much else to report.. night posting isn't my favorite but wanted to share about the trees.
Jenny
