I still have mine but it never gets used anymore. Several years ago we were under a burn ban and I signed on to trash service.

Good morning!
Yes, I remember the burn barrel, and I've been asking DH to bring one to our yard for years now. He thinks I would get in trouble (although we are not in the city limits).
Doris, yes, they put a pacemaker in for DH. They finished about 5 p.m. on Friday afternoon. He spent the night in the hospital, but we got home about 2 p.m. on Saturday.
I saw that Kathie's Jim fell out of bed and she had to call one of her helpers to get him back into bed. Hope he's okay! ~~Mollyann

Molly so sorry about your DH falling.. I know you had to be really frightened.. But glad to hear he's doing well.
Kathie, those blankets sound so pretty.. And I need the wires.
Lots of National holidays today
Super Bowl sunday.. I don't watch it but hubby does.
Feed the birds day
And National Day the Music Died.. The Day the Music Died Day commemorates the untimely death of singers Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. These three Rock singers died in an airplane crash on February 3, 1959. at the height of their popularity.
Every generation has their music idols. These three were among the top of the 1950's generation. Those who grew up in the fifties mourned the premature deaths of their music idols. Memorials and remembrances occurred for years. Today, there are many websites memorializing their deaths, and detailing the events before and after the tragedy.
Still Raining here.

Jenny, I remember when those singers died. It was a sad time. I don't watch football. DD does and my friends I will have lunch with do. Dh did.
Molly, people still use burn barrels out here in the country. Just don't burn when it is windy. I just don't burn anymore. Too many cedars and I also have 2 big pines. What a spark could do!
Kathie, I am glad Jim is OK. I will need the wires because we could even get down in the teens before winter is gone. I don't make any body heat so I need it on low to knock the chill.
57 to 67. Another cloudy day. Sunshine Monday. Hooray.
Have a great Sunday all and remember our God, Lord and Savior. Coffee needed. Rough night. Keep Going Lucy

Good morning!
I will watch some football. I have lived in football towns so it catches you! (Washington, DC & now Portland/Seattle)
It was not a good night, so I am moving slow.

Good Morning Lucy and Healthy Hearts,
This morning it was cloudy and 47º with dense fog (feels like 43º) and our high is to be 57º and cloudy with patchy drizzle and winds S 10-15 mph.
It’s a gloomy day and it looks like more of the same for tomorrow but a bit warmer. Tomorrow it looks like we will be back to cold weather again.
Last night Hannah and Rachael went to a dinner given by the Vietnamese students at Hannah’s school. She has been so friendly with these students that she was asked to speak at the dinner.
We hope maybe to see tomorrow what we can do about getting a car to drive but we still don’t have the letter from the credit card company. I want to put it on one of my accounts, but I can’t remember the pin number and will have to wait for a written reply from them in order to reset it.
Yesterday I finished reading a Nancy Drew mystery, The Scarlet Slipper Mystery. This one is about ballet dancers from another country who are having problems in her city. The one I’m reading now is titled The Secret of Mirror Bay by Carolyn Keene and it is good and as all the other ones I’ve read.
Aunty Acid – Sat & Sun Feb 2-3: Shhhhhhhhh! Can you hear that? Yep, it’s my beautiful, soft, warm bed calling my name. I really must go see what it wants. Good night.

There was a burn barrel in the backyard when I was growing up.

We lived in the city limits so no burn barrels were allowed.

Lot of burn barrels around here, and yes I live in the country.
I am waiting on DGD, she is stopping to pick up a gift for Emma from my friend. they are having dinner at her mother in law's house today. Kids there are probably anxiously waiting for them.
Sun is shining and today temps are to be in the high 40's.
Kathie, I will still need wires and I can just picture that beautiful blanket. Love that you put the heart on it as well. Love Valentine's Day.

Hi!
Today it was 59º and supposed to go up to 66º later. Then it is to stay warm all week until it crashes next weekend. I guess the country is warming up for a while.
We went to church this morning and then on to brunch. As usual, our DGD joined us. We enjoy that time with her very much. This afternoon, DH will read the paper and I'll watch some things I have recorded. Tonight's dinner will be leftovers from our lunch out with DGS. I don't know why restaurants serve such large portions, but we use every bit of the food. It is delicious and so easy to fix!
We plan to watch the game this evening, though neither of us cares who wins. He'll play solitaire on his kindle and I'll crochet , but we'll pay attention to the commercials. Yes, we had a burn barrel when I was a kid. We lived just at the edge of town, so never had a problem with that. Jenny, I'm glad you reminded us of the Day the Music Died. I loved that music! Yes, I'm that old! Thank you! Molly, hope your DH recovers quickly.
Be happy today! Diane

Good afternoon ladies, It is a Beautiful day In the neighborhood With the sun shining and 61° out Now!!!!! As soon as I get off here I'm going out on the deck with Sammy to set in the sun and read!!!! I'm not going to waist this day setting inside!!!!
I was here by myself yesterday and I sat and read a whole book!!! It was book #2 of the Lexy Baker Series Dying for Danish By Leighann Dobbs!!! Her books are my Favorite to read now!!!! The murder happened right at the beginning of the book and I didn't guess who the killer was!!! I couldn't Believe he was the killer the author kept me guessing all the way to the end of the book!!!! She doses a great job of writing!!!! She keeps the suspense going all the way to the end of the book!!!!! I started book #3 of The Cats That series by Karen Anne Golden I like this series also!!!
Lucy, we played Rummikub last night and we are going to play now for a while before I go outside!!!
