I'm IN.
Happy Valentine's Day to all! Be sure to be your OWN BEST VALENTINE and do something nice for yourself today.
Yesterday is better off forgotten in DivaLand.
Add me to the sick list. I don't know what hit me yesterday but between the headache, nausea, and stomach grumps I was a mess. Yes, I had DayJob (blessedly quiet). And I had MousekeDuty, including school delivery and pickup. AND DaBoyz were over for supper and a long evening (K'ling2's wrestling match in Monroe was further away than Son#1 calculated), and the Zigster was miz'ble with his cold and various aches and needed lots of TLC for his sniffly self. I moved VERY slowly and got everything done that I needed to. I'm some better today (headache has abated but is not gone; think it's from weather changes mostly).
So I've got a beef stew in the crock pot (a seldom-ever meal, so Toots is THRILLED). I had a simple breakfast and lunch is prepped (also simple - my pumpkin "custard"). Now to survive the DayJob.

Sending healing vibes to all those on couches.
We were going to the buffet in my hometown for lunch and my dog was outside looking so cold and wanting in.We actually ate out on Sunday after church so I told my DH to go run his errands.I would stay home and let her in and we would eat at home after he returned.
I evidently didn't get enough sleep last night so I've been on my recliner most of the morning and while walking in the house getting my clothes out I realized my knee was actually pretty stiff so it looks like a nap in my future and just doing some house walking later unless the sun comes out and the wind dies down enough.
Have a Happy Valentines all!

linda72 When I was reading your opening I was thinking, "Well THAT needs to go away", and then read your next paragraph, LOL. Last time I peeked all looked well, but I know better than to start planning the clothes yet! diva49 Your opening message was so lovely...and then you continued! I hope today is an improvement. DebDoesWW LOL! I'm doing okay, tired of indoor exercise, that's for sure...and I'm 3 weeks ahead of borntexan. I'm still at the point of *thinking positively* about the results, but no doubt the ice has me nervous! It was lovely when I took Leia to daycare, they do a good job with the roads and sidewalks here. And they had done a great job on the path into daycare, but you should have seen the snow border...."Don't you eat that yeller snow....." Leia was beside herself with excitement!

Sending valentine wishes from Paul's room as he finishes his discharge procedures. The weather is sunny and in the 50s.
We'll celebrate tonight with take out from the Italian restaurant we've found while he's been here. A beautiful arrangement of fresh fruit was delivered. Pineapple and chocolate dipped strawberries. A wonderful valentine from my valentine!

Pamthomas46-Enjoy your valentine's day homecoming. And that wonderful bouquet. I'm glad you have such a wonderful guy, because he sure has a great lady!
Sending love and healing vibes to everyone who needs them! . Diva-I love the thought of be your own valentine and do something nice for yourself. I think while DH is at Mason's I will take a nice bath and maybe paint my fingernails. I don't think I've done that in a year. I love the look but never want to waste the time. Normally on these nights I would do laundry, school work or other housework. But maybe I'll do something nice for me!

Hearts and flowers to all. Happy Valentineâs day.
hpeterson1951 : the psychologistâhow odd.
I just turned off The Pioneer Woman. Her shows lately are all about excessive homemade sweets. I find it interesting that she makes these âgazillionâ-calorie concoctions and then drives miles to foist them off on friends. I guess thatâs one way to watch your waistline!
ShooâŚshooâŚgo away. (thatâs for the viruses plaguing a growing number of you.
pamthomas46 , congratulations to Paul on his discharge. Iâm sure youâre ecstatic to be getting him home. LOL at the fruit deliveryâa bored male patient and a credit card are a dangerous combinationâŚbut in this case, yummy.
Today has been a mental alertness test. First, driving to the Library, I got into a panic because I couldnât find my card key in the car. Turns out it was already hanging around my neck. Scary part is I have no memory of taking it out of the compatment I keep it in and hanging it around my neck!
Then there was the lunch time âtuna incident.â Before leaving this morning I grabbed a can of tuna from the garage to have it ready for making lunch. Got home and couldnât find it. Had to go get another can. With lunch ready to eat, I went to get a can of soda and found the original can of tuna sitting on top of the storage container I filled with cans of soda from the garage this morning. At least that one jogged my memory.
I have a meeting in 90 minutes. I should be in GREAT shape for thatâNOT. âHi. Whatâs your name again?â LOL.

zazzles I enjoy Ree Drummond's show, The Pioneer Woman. I have to remind myself that her family, esp. her husband and 4 children, are Working on this ranch and they get a lot of exercise so they work off those calories that Mom makes for them. I've noticed Ree has gained some weight over the years and I'm not surprised. Age has a way with dealing with all those calories! Most of the stars on Food Network gained weight and it doesn't surprise me. Giada De Laurentiis seems to be the only chef who has not gained weight.

linda72 , yes I've noticed the increasing waist lines on most of the Food Network stars also. Fortunately, since the network's format changed to mostly reality shows, I seldom watch it.
