WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

Good morning. It’s going up into the 50’s today. I’ll run at lunchtime, it’s nice to have that option. I have a 2 hour block of time between my senior classes so it’s plenty of time to run and shower. It was just beautiful out yesterday. It felt so good to be warm and able to breathe easily. I was actually taking layers off during my first mile.
Food went ok, but too much snacking. I’m planning a Core day with minimal points and all nutritional foods.
Nancy, great thinking with the Sunday/Monday dinners.

How is it Monday already.....
Last night I consumed more food then I planned during Superbowl but nothing too crazy and the rest of the day was good choices. I still struggle when food is out in front of you for long periods of time. So hard not to pick …luckily I did have a lot of good choices, just a few not so good…today will be a MFP day…
Nancy, Glad you got to see DGK and wonderful braces free!! It is so much nicer to walk with milder weather…looking forward to walking outside at lunch time today!! I’m finding that my 2 day commitment to strength training is working out well – I have to do it right after work or it doesn’t happen..lol I follow a 17min routine that I like which helps…Nice plan to fit in Chinese and Boston Market!! Enjoy it!! Jan, so glad you liked the muffins…. chickpeas to bake? – I was very skeptical myself…The recipe can be adjusted to your liking!! I omitted the pumpkin pie spice and doubled the cinnamon. You can even make them with all different toppings…choices are endless!! Just an FYI – I entered the recipe in MFP and for 12 muffins w/nut toppings came to 72 cal, 0 sat fat, 5g sugar, 4 protein (sugar from bananas) on WW would be 1 point (14 muffins,62 cal) Excellent snack! Some posted they make it into an apple cake! Enjoy your run in the mild weather!!
Hi to Cindy, Louise and anyone else reading!! Lori
