Electricians came, saw and have plans to fix things. Hooray! Hubby gave them the broken blender and perhaps they can fix and give it new life. Talked to the granddaughters yesterday and they were more interested in their JoJo bows and dolls than anything else. They couldn't believe I had not watched a super bowl in decades...they were going to watch and enjoy it!

Good morning. The storm has stopped, or moved on. There was no wind to speak of, so no blizzard conditions, at least not in my area. Looking at the road report there was no travel advised in the areas around me. Where I live is in a long, wide valley. I have no idea how much snow we got but quite a lot drifted in around the house and yard. It is piled pretty high on my deck where it drifts off the roof. Not so much away from the yard in the fields. I'll have quite a bit of shoveling to do on the walk and in front of the garage. It is cold though. The highs all week will be below zero.
I'll go shovel my walk later when it warms up a little more. Unless my neighbor does it when he cleans my yard. Not sure when he will get here though.
Have a nice day, beaches.

Good morning dear Beaches,
Well, coming off of the most boring Super Bowl in history!! The only thing good about it was Adam Levine taking his shirt off during his half-time show!! We had WAY too much food!!! Between what I made, DD made & SIL made, we hardly made a dent in it. Now I have all these tempting left overs!! At least we didn't have any deserts left over. I won't have to cook for at least a week, I will put the soup & chili in the freezer in small containers for later. Maybe I will use all the leftover veggies from the veggie tray ( which nobody touched), & make another pot of low-pt soup. Anyway, it is back on track this morning.
Weather here is very warm, we actually sat on the back porch for a while yesterday afternoon. It is to be in the 70s this week. A little rainy today.
Cherry, please be careful out here shoveling, that is very dangerous! I am always so fearful of falling, at our age, a fall can do us in!
Waving hello to all!!!

Good morning! I stayed home from work today...I just felt like it. I'm usually don't do this, but I am enjoying reading my book and doing little things around the house. Soon it will be permanent, but not soon enough for me...
I made the cod fish meal last night that I got from WW's Blue Apron selection. DH didn't like it, but DD did. I don't like fish, but I ordered one because DH likes it. I have two more weeks with discounts and then I will cancel it.
Have a great day...

Hi beaches. Checking in tonight. We took our dog to the vet for her presurgery visit. Sheβll have her surgery next Tuesday to remove a growth and to take care of some dental issues. While Alice was at the vet we took my mom out for lunch. This was the kick off of her birthday week. Sheβll be 93 on Friday. Fingers crossed the weather will be good Friday.
Last night we watched First Man. Itβs the story of Neil Armstrong. I learned so much Iβd forgotten about him. The cinematography was wonderful. It includes shots from the moon.
Have a good evening everyone. Hope you have lots of reasons to smile.
