Mary, Well at this rate you will have those slippers finished in time for sure. Ha,ha. Woo, don't care to have you send snow this way. Yeah its coming but.
Ruth, Hows the back doing? I feel so lucky to having plenty in the house to eat. but still another trip didn't have few things. If I had to order it would take me time to get used to making a list twice and know what I was going to make and need. And still other things pop up that's not even groc. related.
DH just left for a test, I best get that shower and see if we hear from one of the guys said we would. I knew I wouldn't but was hoping to hear something more from President Trump.
Enjoy this day~~ Marm~~

Just finished my walk. Time to sit now for a few minutes. Busy day ahead. Split shift today so it's back to work again later to sub. Everything was iced over when I got off work last night including my car. Hate scraping windows. Weather isn't sounding too promising again today and tomorrow. We're under a winter advisory from 3:00 this afternoon until noon tomorrow. Wintry mix which means rain, sleet, freezing drizzle and snow...oh joy! At least I don't have far to go to work. I may have to reschedule my bone scan and Prolia shot tomorrow afternoon though since the bone Dr's office is out in the open off the highway. Will winter ever get over?! 42 days yet to go until Spring...sigh... Sure hope that groundhog is right! An early Spring would be wonderful.
I'd hate ordering groceries online but I know it's helpful for some people that can't get out. I'm so fussy about fruit so I wouldn't want anyone else just grabbing it up. I'm so careful too always checking expiration dates. I see expired items often on shelves.

Good Morning Marm and LTMs,
This morning it was cloudy and 14º (feels like 1º) and going up to 22º and cloudy with winds NNE 10-15 mph. We have a Winter Weather Advisory from 6:00 PM tonight until 12:00 PM Thursday, with mixed precipitation of snow and ice and an accumulation of 1-2” and a light glaze of ice is possible.
Our grocery order was delivered so we have enough supplies for the next few days.
Our pastor’s friend who works on cars came and towed ours to his place to see exactly what is wrong with it. I think he will find it would be too expensive to make all the necessary.
We called the credit card company and they finally said it was OK to use the card again after we gave them a new word for their safety regulations. When we tried it wouldn’t work so there may be a 24 hour delay before it can be used.
I’m still reading The Marshland Mystery, my first Trixie Belden book, by Kathryn Kenny. For some reason I just didn’t feel much like reading again yesterday, which is very unusual for me.

Gareth,
We wondered about ordering fruit and vegetables on the phone but didn't have a choice. We have been pleasantly surprised to find beautiful vegetables and fruit with no blemishes. The employees who put these orders together are very careful as are the delivery people. We still prefer to go to the store to shop but right now we are thankful for this service.
I see we have snow coming down now, but so far I just see some sticking to the roof across the street from us.

Hello, all LTMs,
I am back from the Y, from Mass & from a trip to Detweiler's for fresh veggies, fruits & deli meat & cheese. I got really nice local strawberries. Of course, the normal butternut squash, acorn squash, and zucchini. The melons were really nice, too, & I got both cantaloupe & honeydew. One thing I did find was that the price of grapes is sky high. $2.99 a lb!!!!
We are having another really nice day, mid 70's and sunny, w/ very light breezes. Obviously, the beach is nice, since the line of cars heading that way was LONG! Red Tide is gone!
Hoping everyone has a great day!
Rose Marie

Gareth*, I know how much you hate the cold and split shift on top of it. Hope there's no problem rescheduling your appts. When seeing how well they was picking and looking at veg's for order out. think might be surprised how well they do w/fruits to. So far haven't talked to anyone here orders Groc.
Doris, Yes, Lucky you can order Groc. Hasn't been that long here that you could. Remeber Mailou she ordered Groc. That's great news, At least you will find out if car can be fixed and how much. sure would be great if its not all that much and won't have to rent one. No matter what you would know, I'm anxious to hear whats what.
Rose Marie*, Yes I know grapes is costly right now. and we haven't been able to get good ones either. so we stopped buying them.
Been busy but I'm hoping to see all 3 programs tonight. Not sure I will be back. I for "1" am happy its Winter. Don't get me wrong. I don't like the cold weather. But at least other things I can get done that I wouldn't be able to if it was nice out all the time. I'm going thru my file cabinets. Tossing a lot. And since I didn't get to it last yr. more than the norm. I have a lot yet to do. working since morning and only finished w/the 1/2 drawer. So if I'm not back, I will see you in the morning...

Yes grapes are a lot here too. I hardly even buy fresh fruits or veggies in the winter. They're just too expensive. Again making due.
It snowed all day today.

We got snow! And we are going to get a bunch more tonight and tomorrow! ! Gareth, I hope the rain or sleet doesn’t give you too much trouble. We had that last Sunday and early Monday. Marlene, I don’t know if you are getting our snow but I think it’s what you have been waiting for. I could have done well without it, but it’s not our choice if we want to live here.
Rose Marie, maybe you made a good decision years ago when you left Delaware. I don’t think you regret it either. I’ve been getting some very good grapes at Aldi’s lately for less than $2/# and sometimes only .99#, both red and green, but I can’t tell you where they’re from, maybe Chili.
Ruth, I’ve been buying lots of fresh fruit all winter. I love it, it is good for me and it hasn’t been all that expensive, and fresh vegetables too if I want them. As long as I have the money I’ll continue.
Marm, I hope you’re accomplishing what you wanted to do. I need to clean out papers from my file cabinets too. I’ve done a little after Joe passed, but there’s more that I should do, but I’m always afraid of tossing too much. Maybe that’s just an excuse for not doing it.
Doris, I hope you can get into your account. I have many passwords and I keep them all in a small address book. Too bad all of your info got stolen away from you. I just hope they haven’t accessed your account with that info.
